Vintage Aircraft Instrument Coaster Set - Set of 6

These coasters were a gift for a grandson who is learning to fly. Considering the price, I thought they would be cardboard reproductions of airplane dashboard features, but they were way more. They were sturdy, somewhat three-dimensional, and looked as if they'd come off the dashboard to set on the coffee table. My grandson was pleased and so was I.

OMG I love these things! Great retro feel - the image is printed on a hard plastic, so you don't have to worry about it rubbing off. The bottom is a non-slip surface, so they stay put... no sticking to your glass or sliding around the table. The hard rim of the coaster looks like cockpit fittings - very unique! These are really well made. I am very happy with this purchase. Will be buying these as gifts for my pilot friends next Christmas.

This product has a lip that keeps you from being able to put various sized items on it. Cannot use a rocks glass or a regular high ball due to the raised edge diameter being so small. So if you are using this as a beer holder only or small glass you'll be fine. Product looks cool and it's plastic so it won't break easy or leak condensation.

I ordered these for my father who's a pilot. He used to have a Cessna 172 and now has a Piper Archer II. I thought these would be a nostalgic addition to his den. He loved them but I thought they were a bit cheap in construction. Of course they weren't expensive either so I got what I paid for.

I saw these on the Amazon site and instantly considered the Perfect gift for both son in laws. Great conversation pieces and just LOOK cool !

Attractive and functional. Unbreakable and wash easily. I placed these where my husband displays his airplane memorabilia. Looks awesome.

If I had bought these at a store, I would have returned them, especially given the price.First off, nothing about them is vintage. What.Second, they have a lip, so some bigger glasses might not fit.What was the saddest for me was that they just look tacky. Like the gradients on it are not visually appealing, and they simultaneously try to appear 3D and 2D. I'm talking about this from a design standpoint, like graphic design. Maybe if they had some clear-plastic glaze over them, that might make them look really nice, but currently, they're just pieces of plastic with aaawkward designs.They function as coasters, that is for sure. But so do cheaper sets of coasters. The quality of the items did not justify the extra money these things put me out. I wish I had gone with something else for half the price. I was under the impression these would look really good.Our table's protected, though. Liquid won't get through these. Oh, and the anti-slip bottom is just dandy, totally works at keeping these in place on most surfaces.
