I used both tools for 2-gauge battery cable cutting and copper lug clamping. No issues at all. Good finish, manufacturing QA/QC appear good, tight joints, steel undisturbed after use.

Works good, need strong grip to cut through 2awg wire but it does it clean. The crimpers were perfect, almost no effort and made good quality crimps.For the price, I really can't complain about anything. I'm keeping these around in my toolbag.

The cutter first, it’s so dull I was unable to cut #1 welding cable. Luckily I also have a very sharp Ancor cutter. UPDATE: I used a carbide rasp to put an edge on these, nice and sharp, didn’t help much. I got through a #1 cable but it took everything I had - the design gives you really poor mechanical advantage but they might be better if you have giant hands.The crimper works but I’m surprised how little force it takes to get it to the lock position (full crimp). I do not have any evidence that this in inadequate. I’ve used a hammer crimper for 10 years and of course with those you just bash it harder a bunch of times to get a crazy tight crimp. So, not a con.However it’s awful to get on the lug and crimp with only 2 hands, I bought this so I could crimp without taking the wire to the bench vise. Maybe I’ll get better at using it. I use flared barrel lugs so that flare functions as a stop for the tool to keep it on the lug as you get things set to pull the handles. If I didn’t have flared connectors I would HAVE to use a vice.Other than that I like it and it wasn’t much more than the hammer anvil was - the crimps are def prettier.

Let me start by saying I have used really high end crimping tools and this one is not going to compare to them. To be fair though, it cost about a third as much as they do. So for the money, this is probably the best kit you can buy. The wire cutters work fantastic cutting thru even heavy 2/0 wire with ease. The crimper itself is sturdy. The adjustable dies seem very well cut and when locked in place, are sturdy. The only downside is the crimper will leave a small raised nub of copper when you crimp. The solution is to just rotate the wire connector and crimp again. That will lessen the nub of extruded copper so it is no concern. Yes, it requires pulling the handle twice instead of once but to save so much money, it is worth it. I've been building a solar setup and used the crimper and cutters many times. Every crimp came out sturdy and looking good. Long as you rotate it and do a second crimp, all is well. Even without the second crimp, it is sturdy and works fine. It just leaves a small nub of raised copper. Not a serious problem and wires still work fine but I didn't like the raised nub so do a second crimp. Of the budget priced crimp tools, this is the one I would recommend to anyone. Nice setup and works well.

The crimper and conductor cutter was a very good value for the price. Upon opening I cut and crimped 6 and 8 AWG non- insulated pin terminals. Both conductors were finely stranded cables and the cutter functioned flawlessly.

Ordered this based on many positive reviews. Used it yesterday on 2 gauge copper wire for car audio amplifier system. Adjusting to the proper gauge was lickity split and easy, requires some strength to crimp. Some people wrote reviews about post crimp leaving a sharp edge on the copper fastener, this did happen to me one time, but I realized it was how I placed the tool around the fastener. Paying attention to this will ensure a proper crimp without the sharp protruding Edge. So to dock this tool for that seems erroneous because it's user error in my opinion and experience with this very tool. Wire cutters or cable Cutters worked very well. Cut through the 2 gauge cable almost like...semi frozen butter, to be more realistic. Pleasantly surprised how good they worked, honestly.

Work perfect to crimp my solar wiring. Seem solid and easy to use.
