Good Night Yoga: A Pose-by-Pose Bedtime Story Review: Fun for kids - This was a fun way to end the day with the kids. They enjoyed doing the poses and the pictures are beautiful. Review: My toddlers loved this book and my preschoolers still do! - I bought this when my twins were just over 2 years old--they loved it immediately (they loved the good morning yoga book too, but this one was a huge bedtime hit). We did the poses together (or I did them and the kids did their own wobbly versions that occasionally looked like the book) they couldn't balance well at all, so they would do the standing on one leg postures holding onto the rails of their cribs until they grew up enough to be able to actually do them. Over the years, they haven't ever tired of the book. Now they're 4 and can actually do the poses including the ones on one leg (and are very proud of themselves that they can now do it). We've added sound effects (meows for the cat, buzzing for the bee) and they know the entire yoga flow by heart but love to read it anyway. If you're at all interested in yoga or if you have rambunctious kids who have trouble slowing down for bedtime (mine have always been happiest jumping around or running around their room when story time begins) this is an excellent solution--it gives them an active, physical task while "reading" and it slows them down for either more books or for bed. It even got us talking about the sun setting and the moon when we could see them out the window while they were doing the poses (depending on the seasons). I rarely do the poses with them anymore, but they can do it themselves so well, my job is just to turn the book pages. Really a wonderful book and the fact that my kids still request it is really the best endorsement of all (and on the few occasions it has been in another room at bedtime when they've wanted it, there have been tears of protest when I said we could do it tomorrow). Wonderful book (and I should say activity). Highly recommend!

Little yoginis will love it!
This is a cute yoga book for kids! I love that it doesn't push any agenda on them, but simply encourages them to try simple (and relaxing) yoga poses. The artwork is great and the book has a nice flow, or should I say asana?!! Ha Ha. Little yoga humor there! If mum / dad enjoy yoga, and you want to share that with your wee ones, give this a try! It's fun to do together. I also highly recommend Cosmic Kids Yoga DVD's. Enjoy and namaste!

Perfect for the kids!
My boys are 9 and 5 and they love it. It has really helped them to relax before bed and fall asleep quicker. My 9 year old feels more refreshed in the mornings. We did it for 4 days in a row and now they ASK for me to read it and do it with them before bed! We also light a lavendar candle right before doing it and then blow it out right before the cloud visualization. The visuals are great in the book and I love the diversity! I definitely recommend it. Thank you for having a video of the book being read - after watching that, is what prompted me to buy the book. I am not disappointed at all.

Beautiful illustrations and very easy to follow for a todller
I bought this book for my two year old daughter, and since the day we received this book, It became one of her favorites. The illustrations are simple, colorful and very easy to follow for a todller. She loves practicing all the different positions everywhere, when we are at home and when we are outside. And I think that she is very proud of herself from all the feedback she is getting for knowing yoga positions :) It is one of the cutest and funnest books we have, Strongly recommended!! Love It!!

Beautiful illustrations, overall pretty good, but a bit choppy reading aloud.
The poses are great. The poems are cute. The longer meditation in the back is good. The pictures are gorgeous. Overall I recommend this book. I took one star away because the flow is weird from page to page. The layout of the words made me feel like i had a hard time deciding whether to read the story or the instructions first. There are inconsistent amounts of words per page, if that makes sense. If you get familiar enough with the book, you can probably compensate. It's also a little bit girly, which might be a harder sell for boys interested in yoga.

Short but 2 year old loves it
When I received this, I was going to send it back because the board book version seemed almost too simple in its wording. However, my 2 year ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT the first night and gets excited about his yoga book each night. He loves the pictures and practices the bird all day long at random times. This was a fantastic purchase to introduce yoga to little ones.

Your kid will love this book!
We loved Good Morning Yoga, so we bought Good Night Yoga too. It's wonderful! Our 2.5 year old son loves doing yoga before bed. He is a really energetic kid and this book seems to calm him down. We dim the lights and read it while helping him do the poses. A few poses are too tough for him, but he is really getting good at copying the illustrations and I'm confident that we will be using this book in our bedtime routine for years to come. There is also a very relaxing visualization exercise at the end of the book. I highly recommend it!

Es un libro muy bonito sobre una secuencia para ayudar a los niños en la noche. Me encanta que comparan las posturas con cosas fáciles para ellos

Beautiful book, but sadly the kindle version is not formatted correctly and you can't view the pages they way they would be displayed in a print book.
