Best book ever

God has a marvelous plan for every believer in Christ. He is with us every step of the way. What an amazing adventure!

My review on the book "Dream Giver" by Bruce Wilkinson. This was an amazing read. I appreciate the storytelling in the beginning of the book about a young man named ordinary who lived in a town named familiar, who had a dream that he decided to pursue. His journey was a life growing event. It confirmed that we all have a purpose and a dream. However, our dream is not ours, but it belongs to the Dream Giver, aka God. We have to trust him, give him glory for who he is, the Alpha and Omega. We are his warriors, who must believe in him more than we believe in ourselves. We can and will accomplish anything through Christ who strengthens us. He will fight our giants, aka battles. If we believe, walk by Faith not by sight and give God the honor. The book will make you open your Bible and revisit chapters you may have overlooked. I recommend this book to anyone who has a buring desire to be more than what they are today. It's for people helping people, which is God's people. Your dream will come true if you give your dream back to God, the dream giver. I didn't realize the author also wrote the great book The Prayer Jabez. That is a great book I read years ago. I say the pray just about every day, in my way. " Lord, continue to bless me indeed, keep me out of harms way, expand my territory, make me a better man today than I was yesterday, and forgive me of all my sins, amen," Deon C Freeman 2/21/24

Too much to say in this small place. I am on the second time through reading along with the audio book. This is the third book of Wilkinson's that I have read. First two - Prayer of Jabez, and Beyond Jabez. They have been read multiple times. If you want for God to challenge you to be more than you are in Him then the three books will reshape your walk with Him. They will challenge you, and take you to places that will impact the lives of others. Prepare to increase your time in prayer, experience the Holy Spirit taking you places that will challenge your faith, and molding your life to be a servant. I generally only read a couple of pages or so, often times with tears, wanting more of His heart. This review applies to all three books mentioned. I recommend starting with Prayer of Jabez, then Beyond Jabez, then Dream Giver. There is another book that I haven't started yet - You Were Born for This - that I will start soon. Be Blessed and you search the depths His heart for what He has called you to be and do!

This book is a really great read. It helped me overcome a fear of many obstacles. It actually helped me gain the confidence to move a way from my home time, where I ended up meeting my partner and having a beautiful boy. This book is a book I'll be giving to my son when he gets to an appropriate age as it encourages you to step out of the normal , 9-5 job, that society has encouraged for many years.

This book is going to be my gift to all graduating seniors this year. But it is not only for those beginning their journey. Those in the middle might even gain more from it, as it can cause the reader to switch course in his life and fulfill his God-given purpose. And, when he heard that I have just undertaken a huge task to fulfill my own dream, even though I'm in my "twilight years," he told me to read it. He's right. It's inspiring me and taken all doubts I might have had from my mind. A very simple read, it is a parable which can give inspiration and courage to readers at any level of education or maturity to pursue their own private dream and become fulfilled, instead of just plugging through life because circumstances deterred them from the dreams of their youth.

This book was recommended to me - and for good reason. It spoke directly to my heart and what I have been going through over the last few years - or probably more like my whole life. Being a Christian, sometimes I feel guilty about having dreams that include doing great things in this world that don't include being a pastor or missionary in Africa or something. I also wonder if it is just me that hates going to a desk job where I sit for 8 hours a day - part of which I stare off and dream of the bigger things I feel I was made for. Bruce Wilkinson speaks directly to that burning desire that some of us have, and gives great insight in how to deal with it in relation to God and walking as a follower of Christ. The narrative that takes up half of this book gives such a great imagery to exactly what I feel like I am going through in my young career... I feel like I am still walking through the long desert in my life, but this book inspires me to continue to dream and not to ignore those feelings, but to give them to God who is the giver of all true Dreams. I highly recommend this book to anyone wishing for more than just the ordinary out of this life God has given us here on earth.

This book is soooo good! Would definitely recommend anybody on the journey to reach a goal to read.

This book was recommended to me by a friend when I was going through a very uncertain time. I enjoyed it. It's a simple read to encourage you on your way to accomplishing that Dream that keeps niggling in the recesses of your soul.

This book was so inspiring and encouraging. For everyone out there who has a dream and sometimes doesn't understand what is going on and why things are going the way they are, this book is for you. For those that have dreams but are yet to start the journey of pursuing it, this book is also for you :) As someone who is currently on the journey, I could resonate with the various phases explained in the book.
