Slippery Elm Bark - Dried Ulmus rubra C/S from 100% Nature (4 oz)

This is my first loose herb slippery elm purchase. As opposed to the capsules, this allows you to coat your throat with the gel-like substance in the bark rather than just your stomach and intestine. Im not sure how well normal tea strainers transfer this to your tea, so I would suggest heating in warm water and then straining it to get the most out of it. However, I make a tea with the strainer and then chew on the remaining bark for a bit to get as much of the good stuff as I can down my gullet. Overall, id say that I wish this bark came at a cheaper price when buying larger quantities. The price here is comparable to other brands, however, and they have an A for a fakespot rating, so I felt more confident in my purchase. It seems to work as intended, although hard to measure when taking other supplements and changing my diet.

I didn't like the whole bark thing , first time purchasing that, always got the powder easier to use. The bark stems was to much of a hassle straining, were I felt there was some waste doing so. The taste was ok and it does thicken up pretty good no problem there other then the feeling there was a waste of the product but that's my opinion. but it was a good product if you don;t mind the extra work..

I know it's a great product, but it wasn't for me. Like chewing a tree ...
