Charles-Hubert, Paris 3575-W Mechanical Pocket Watch

Bought for my son as part of a graduation present for a vested suit.... my son loves how this watch opens on both sides so you can see the workings and jewels. It's a gorgeous watch, well made for the price point. This is a good name in watches. I wish the chain was a big higher quality... there was one rough spot near the hook that goes over the button, which might snag fabric. I'm sure that is specific to this watch, something in manufacturing. This is a wind daily watch, it does keep accurate time. We checked to see if it would lose time as it wound down but it did not. It's attractive, fun and well made for the money, plus it's a great conversation piece and if you are as my son calls himself... eclectic, you will enjoy it. It looks great with his vested suit, french cuff white shirt, gorgeous bow tie for graduation from high school as valedictorian.

Bought this as an anniversary present for my fiance. The quality is much more than I ever thought it would be. It is a very nice, sturdy watch with a good weight and keeps good time. The back panel can be used to place a picture in like I did, or to view the beautiful skeleton figure. I love the watch and honestly didn't want to give it to my fiance (because of how nice it is) but the look of happiness on his face upon receiving it made my day. I gladly recommend this wonderful pocket watch.

This is absolutely beautiful!! I bought it as a present for my boyfriend and he just loves it!! It came wrapped elegantly in the makers box with a pouch to hold it. The detail inside the watch is breathtaking as well. It works this far, he has only had it for a week so not that much time for any defects to occur yet. The watch takes a little pressure to open up both sides which made me nervous it would break but I think it will losen up over usage. Very happy!

Beautiful watch!! I bought it as a Christmas gift but when it was opened, it did not work. I sent it back for a refund and they sent me $.01. Beware!

Great watch for the price. I was not sure if I really wanted a mechanical watch, but it adds affection over time. Incredibly well designed and backside can be seen through, when it stands up while both sides are open. A bit surprised that outer surface was plain shiny metallic, but other than that, it is a very memorable beauty.

Solidly designed "skeleton view" watch. Unfortunately, because of the thinness of the watch hands and the prominence of the watch mechanics, the hands are virtually invisible. I do not wear--or need--glasses. However, when you open the case, I have to hold the watch under a bright light, at a certain angle, just to be able to discern the hands against the background of gears. Despite how elegant it looks, a watch must be functional and give you the time without your having to squint to view it under the right lighting. I am returning this model, but because I was impressed with the other craftsmanship elements, am buying a different model from the same company

For the money it's a good quality watch. Materials and construction are good. Fit and finish of the parts is nice, and the watch keeps pretty accurate time (it gains 20 to 30 seconds in 24 hours which is pretty accurate for a reasonably priced mechanical pocket watch). The movement is not full-sized and is mounted in a plastic frame within the watch case and faired with a nice looking frame on the back which covers the mounting frame. The rear frame has a crystal covering the movement.

I have bought several pocketwatches from Amazon, usually the cheap kind because I don't care for just the plain designs of old, but these fall apart easily after a few weeks. This is a very durable design (hence the price) but well worth it. My only concerns are for me although I really the look of the moving parts it's kind of hard to see the hands. Also I don't really have a need to set it up on a bedstand so I don't really use the back latch. I really like manual winding but if I had to do it over again I think I would really like a battery operated just to have a glow in the dark face. I tend to find myself looking at the time at night but need an outsource light. But that's just me. This a very fine watch that I would have loved to get as a gift. Sturdy and continues working months after purchase.
