Hugely impactful on my career
I read this in 2015 and it's the most impactful business book I've ever read. It provided a clear framework for building structured reports and adhering to best practices and likely changed my trajectory significantly.

Advanced excel reporting
I found this book concise and useful. It is full of tips that are useful and great time savers even for someone who visits online forums by MVPs. It brings together new ideas that help to build a robust financial model for management accountants. I work as a professional accountant and found this to be a useful resource for reporting. The book deals with a range of topics from sum functions to validations and reporting models. There is even an online resource that is filled with useful tools and spreadsheets for ease of use.In summary, this is a book that both beginners and advance users of excel practising in management reporting can benefit from. I wish I could have a digital copy for quick reference when I do not have my book with me at times.

This is an excellent book for that user who has used Excel but now needs to make the step up for reporting and analysis purposes. It takes a while to get started as Neale guides you through the basics in building a reporting pack, but once you are familiar with the basics then you can apply that knowledge to your reporting. There are worked examples, so if you don't have the time to read the full book you can utilise the examples and then build your own models.Add this book to your professional library you won't regret it!!!

This book has improved my skills in Excel as a trainer
This book is a must read for all Management Accountants. What impressed me about this book is the fact that the Author explains in details Excel formula and the advantages and disadvantages of using them and also proferring solutions to the best available options. The author explains in details how to build an Excel Module and Dashboard without macros. In fact, there was a time I had an issue with a complex Excel formula, I contacted the author and he requested for the sample file which I mailed to him; to my greatest surprise, he resolved the issue in the shortest time possible.I will always buy any book from this author.

Excellent material for bean counters and financial analysts
It is quite advanced, but that only means that you need to study it longer. Excellent material for bean counters and financial analysts.

More "How to Use Excel" than "How to Financial Report"
I picked this up hoping it would provide some new, modern examples of financial reports that utilize the power of Excel to do more than simple financial statements. Instead, it's a book of advanced Excel techniques with very little emphasis on examples of financial reports. To be fair, I consider myself to be an advanced Excel user, so there wasn't a whole lot of "how to" in Excel tools that was new to me. But for teaching how to use Excel's functionality, it is a VERY good book. The information and examples in here would really help a beginner or average Excel user get a lot more out of the program. For people who are already advanced Excel users, there isn't much new. I did find a few nuggets I didn't know before and as a reference will be useful, but I really wish it had been more focused on designing useful reports and less focused on teaching advanced Excel techniques - there are already plenty of books that do that.
