While skeptical at first about the operation and quality of the product, this turned out to be the perfect for our friends early teen son. We ordered it a while ago but had to wait for his birthday to open. We all got together to help him but being a little techie himself, decided to do everything by himself. He took it out of the box and the propellers were already installed, he then installed the prop guards, they just click in place in underneath the rotors. The drone and the controller were already charged when he unboxed it but decided to charge them to the max while we opened other gifts and finished the cake.Next he downloaded the hobby tiger app to his iPhone and mounted the phone on the controller, which was a snug fit for the iPhone 7. He hovered just above us for a few minutes and took some photos. While not as high resolution pics like my DJI Mavic pro, they were more than acceptable.The app based camera controller is plus for anyone looking to snap marvelous photos. The GPS based altitude and place holding is also assist greatly with photography.Then he started to move the drone around and took many a photos and videos. The provided 4GB SD card held them all. He also landed and took off a few times before trying follow me mode while he ran around the house. He had to slow down a few times though to let the drone catch him. It worked fine and captured him in action. We did not try the Way Point mode but he will soon do that.By then we have been flying for about 10 minutes and the battery was reaching the end of the charge. So we landed and put the battery to charge. (Suggestion, if you are getting this for an active person, order a spare battery or two, they will thank you.) This is a quad copter that is truly packed with load of features. Even that beginners and experienced remote pilots will find themselves enjoying what this drone has to offer.

I loved the design and build quality of this drone. First thing you'll notice is inside the box it comes with propeller guards, a remote controller, landing pads, a set of propellers, a battery, a USB charger and repair kit set. I especially liked how they includes the guards that provides additional layer of protection. If you have never flown a drone before, the guards will serve an important purpose in protecting your drone. It acts as shock absorber that guards the drone and reduces the impact when you bounce the drone against the object. Additionally, the landing legs can be easily installed on to provide safe landing for the drone. Not only does it reduces the impact, it also provides distance from the camera to ground. So that dust doesn't get into the camera. An important feature to me was the LED's on each of the motor mounts that will keep a clear line of sight on your drone during daytime and nighttime. Furthermore, the hobbytiger h301s is equipped with a 720P HD camera. The quality of the camera is optimized so that means it can deliver the best quality of images and videos from the drone to your smartphone with ease. Overall, the design and build quality in my opinion is great. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone interested in a nice drone that's not over priced and expensive.

This drone flies great. Battery was easy to charge and tell when it was charged. The GPS Compass Calibration went very smoothly first time. Had found the satellites by the time Calibration was done. Once in the air the drone was quite stable. I flew it on a fairly gusty day and the drone held its position pretty well even when turning. Video quality is quite good but suffered a little fighting the breeze. Really like that the camera adjusts up and down from the remote. Once I got it up a ways and the drone was more stable the video was very good. This drone will be much fun to fly and take videos with.

I really just wanted to be able to take some aerial photos of my house. And... job done. Never flown a quad thing before and had no issues. Was kind of fun. When winter goes away, I can see flying it around just for fun. Is under 250 grams, so.. no permits and that craziness.

Company has awesome customer survive and are sending me some new batteries. Camera is great, functions are awesome. One button take off and land. Kill switch. Will update about the follow me function. The drone feels great and sturdy. Would definitely buy again.

Bought this for my 8 year old son so he could be introduced to drone flying. Wanted something stable and capable of GPS holding and return to home. This little drone is a lot of fun and flies very smoothly. There’s a lot to f junk out there, but I feel like this was money well spent.

Basically just a toy.It is not steady in flight because it has real tough time connecting to satellites. That of course, causes it to move around quite a bit and be hard to control.The camera is lousy and I would say it is the quality of the backup camera on your car. Because it is not mounted to a gimbal it reflects the movement of the drone. That results in shaky videos.Now I realize it is on the low end of drones as to the cost. That being said..a $150 is allot of money to me and I don't feel I got my money's worth.

Drone is very hard to sync with the controller and your phone. Takes forever each time you want to use it. Then when it does sync you lose picture or it freezes on phone. I would have sent it back had I known this before by return period was up.Easy to fly for a beginner and does take great video.Update.. after writing this review the company reached out to me and sent me a replacement camera/ wifi module. Drone works great now. Pairs up perfectly each time I use it. Great drone for the price!!
