Cable also works with Brocade SAN switch console ports...
The cable I ordered came in the wrong packaging, but looked like the one that was pictured on Amazon. The package was labeled "Data Charging Audio Video Cable." I used the cable to establish a serial CLI session on a Brocade SAN switch, and it worked just fine. (A Brocade engineer had told me in the past that the Cisco compatible console cables would work just fine with their switches.) Can't speak to the longevity of the cable, but it does appear to be put together well. I am satisfied.

I didn't need any special drivers when using this with my Macbook (Catalina) or Windows PC. On Windows I use Putty and on Mac, I use the "screen /dev/tty.usbserial-AO007SMC 9600" command in a terminal session. It does the job perfect and I don't need to have a usb serial adapter and serial cable with me. Less for me to pack.

Bit pricey for an adapter (there's no electronics involved, you could build this yourself) but it's a nicely assembled cable, and was delivered quickly. Works flawlessly for connecting to my Ruckus/Brocade branded managed switch.
