Ok, if you are thinking to put these chips in a BBQ on the coals, it will work ok but burn off quick. These really work excellent in the standard smoking box like a Big Chief style where they are in a pan. Depending how much smoke flavor you want, put more or less in the pan and you're good to go. Other flavors are available so if you like to smoke, try those as well. I highly recommend this brand of smoke chips.

I didn't buy it for bbq. I used it for mushroom substrate which is a bad idea. This wood chips are filled with green mold or trich even after soaking it in a strong hydrogen proxide it still ruined all the substrate. Ofcourse it is not advertised for mushroom substrate so no complains just sharing with those who are looking for wood chips for mushroom. These wood chips are loaded with trich/green mold no good for mushrooms but I am sure it is a good smoker for bbq.

The unit worked exactly as they said it would , very excellent , I have already smoked some ribeye steaks and as you can see in the picture I am smoking salmon , I will most definitely recommend this unit , would recommend to use outside , it does give off a very small amount of smoke , but it's really worth every penny , definitely a good unit .

The media could not be loaded. Perfect size for my bella's cold smoke mixed with pellets for better burn. No dust or small pieces in the bags. Burn great!
