Swingline 3 Hole Punch Heavy Duty, 40 Sheet Capacity Three Hole Puncher 3 Ring, Adjustable 2-4 Hole Paper Punch, Black (74450)

I did a lot of research before choosing a heavy duty paper punch. I specifically purchased this Swingline model to punch A4 paper (4 holes) for my planners. However, while cleaning out my file cabinet, I decided to also use it to better organize my messy, overflowing collection of file folders of user/installation manuals (appliances, electronics, household devices etc.) so they could be stored in a 3 ring binder. Wow! This model punched 3 holes in 20/25 page manuals and booklets easily. It truly exceeded my expectation. Note, this model (#74450) is set up out of the box with 3 punch heads installed for 3-hole punching. It contains a fourth punch head in the chad tray which you will have to install for 4-hole punching. In addition to the full adjustability of this model, it is also expandable. You can purchase additional punch heads for up to 7 hole punching. Unit feels very well made and I feel like I got my money’s worth.

I have some A4 size stamp album pages that I wanted to put into A4 size binders, but they have 4 rings. I tried punching new holes with a normal US 3 hole paper punch by taking the center punch out and resetting the other two, making two holes, then turning the paper over, adjusting, and punching the other two holes. This was going to be very tedious for the amount of papers I have, so ordered this Swingline even though it was more than I wanted to pay. I got it when it was at a discount and it is wonderful! It does all 4 holes at once and does many more pages at a time than the other punch did. It is going to be a huge time and frustration saver.

It's alright. It took awhile to line up the 4 holes to match the legal size binders I am using. But once that was accomplished it works good.

I started getting legal sized reports without hole punches that were 2" thick. With this product, I can punch holes in the entire report in less than 5 punches (which is a whole lot better than punching 5 pages at a time with the standard hole punch.) It's very sturdy, but compact, and the adjustments are easy, especially for non-standard size paper. It seems pricy, but it's great for a small office or home business.

This punch is amazing. I've used an older model of this same design for that last twenty five years, that I use regularly at my office, and it still works perfectly. This is for home use, and it works just like my old model. A product that didn't get cheapened up in the name of progress! My ONLY complaint is the grease on the punches, that I presume was to protect it during shipping and storage, stained the first couple of sheets, but once I cleaned them up a bit, it is perfect!

It was impossible to find a four hole punch that would adjust to the spacing for non-US 4hole documents. The end user is an architect working in the US for a non-US company and the spacing was possibly impossible to match with his implement, but still trying.

Quality product but mine was damaged when it arrived. They need to pack it better. I glued mine back together because it wasn't enough to stop it from working, but if I could go back in time I'd return it for a new one that isn't damaged.

I needed a 4 hole punch and ended up having to only use 2 at a time - twice over, because the template wont allow infinite space adjustment, only the standard hole spacing with a few limited variations. Other than that it's well made and solid. It's not that easy to find a good and at the same time versatile 4 hole punch I have discovered.
