Bénédicta Gourmet Béarnaise Sauce for Broiled or Grilled Meats

This is one of the items from Belgium my husband misses. Now that we can get it on Amazon he has a little taste from home and it pairs nicely with his steaks and many other items.

I was surprised at how tasty this Bernaise sauce is. I have had bottled and one that you make from a mix in the past and they were both horrible. This version was very good and I would recommend trying it. The sauce has a consistency of mayonnaise with a nice Bernaise sauce flavor. I only gave it 4 stars because it is not as good as Bernaise from scratch. I tried it this time on medium rare, broiled New York strip and I truly enjoyed it. Yummy.In all honesty, there is one more brand here on Amazon that I will try in the future to compare. When I do, I will update my review.

I'm not a fan of Bearnaise myself, but often make it and serve it with beef or steak, in fact it's also very good with roasted potatoes.The big problem is of course, you usually make too much (it's not to everyone's taste) and end up throwing it away or freezing it for a further probable one time use.Having it available in a jar, in the fridge like a good gourmet mustard is really nice, and great for that last minute condiment to your meal.Any sauce in a jar isn't going to be as good as freshly made, or even stove top from a packet, but this is pretty darn close.It has a rich, creamy and buttery flavor, the taste of shallots, wine and tarragon is not as pronounced as some would like, or arguably as it should be, but the flavors are definitely there.For the price, and the ability to keep it in the fridge for a few months after opening, and not least the pleasant flavor, I had to give it 5 stars.

I ordered this product and before serving it to guests, I tasted it. The first ingredient in the product is oil which was rancid. It had a terrible after taste too. Three of us tried it and all agreed it was made with rancid oil. Seller claimed, " if you've already tasted the item, and it was sent in good condition and not compromised, we are unable to offer any return, replacement, or refund on this item due to personal taste preferences." DO NOT BUY. The product had nothing to do with personal preferences, but rather had everything to do with a spoiled product. The Seller refuses to make good on the contract for the purchase of a decent product. I had to take this loss, but I hope my review will impact others to stay away from this product and Seller.

Twice I order two jars. Both times, one was smashed. Delivered in a paper pouch. Can’t give it less than 5 stars, because it’s delicious. Unfortunately I can’t afford to pay double every time I order.

The sauce was very lemony (for us). Added some sugar!

This did not taste like any bearnaise sauce that I have had, they forgot to add the tarragon. Hello! where's the tarragon? I used it on my ribeye steak and fresh asparagus
