Replacement for Garmin Nuvi 265 Battery with Tools - Compatible with Garmin GPS Navigator Batteries (1300mAh 3.7V Lithium Polymer)

After replacing the battery, I have been using my Garmin without the car charger for the first time in a couple of years, I hope this battery outlast the original. The tool kit while helpful left a bit to be desired. The plastic pry tool is very fragile but it did the job, I won't expect it to do many more. The kit would have been a bit more helpful if it included a short stretch of double sided sticky tape, I doubled some scotch tape and that seemed to to the job. All in all I would rate this as a very good purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

The battery came quickly. The tools were helpful. The plastic pry-bar broke as reported by others. Just use a flat jeweler's screwdriver to pry the unit open. The old battery was adhered very tightly. Punctured the battery by accident(sparked). To dispose of it safely just immersed it in a cup of salt water for a day to discharge the battery.

Battery works well once installed. Install kit is appreciated except the plastic pryer broke trying to open the Garmin. Had to use finger nails. Don't forget to grab the on/off plastic tab when opening. Lots of youtube to help you for the replacement.

Took a little time and trouble to install it but all is good. The installation videos are a great help.

The tools that were purchased did not fit the screws in the Garmin case. The battery does not work and did not take a charge from the charger, Overall satisfaction not achieved - as this turned out to be a waste of time and money.
