This book is wonderful!
This book is a great introduction into the teachings of Kabbalah. I have been practicing Kabbalah for about 5 years now. I love it, and it has changed my life in many ways. I bought this book for several of my friends who became interested in Kabbalah when they saw the changes in me. I gifted this book over to them, and they all seem to like it. I wish everyone would read this book. The world would be a better place.

Good - but brief - overview
For a subject about which hundreds of books have been written, this 70 page book provides a very cursory view of classic Lurianic Kabbalah as taught by Beni Baruch, including a brief hsitory, overview of the concepts, introduction to Kaballistic texts and how to study. If you are looking for anything more, there are many good books put out by Beni Baruch and others who will dig into Kabbalah in much more detail. This is almost at the level of an intro pamphlet. A good investment if you are thinking about studying with BB and would like an overview of their approach to the Study of Kabbalah.

"Knowing" thru blind faith is highly over rated!
has taken all the blind faith out of my belief in God. There is no need for it,..., you just need to see the face He wants you to see and follow in your own path which He has set you upon. This is a must read for any Christian who has more blind faith than they know what to do with, a veil was opened with this little primer.

Surprised
What an extraordinary find. Simple to read and understand. Although I am not a member of the Jewish faith, I believe that there are universal truths expressed in the concepts of Kabbalah that if practiced by all, would change everything. It leaves me interested in going deeper. It is a good recommendation for someone who wants to scratch the surface at finding something new - which is in itself, apparently very old. Intriguing.

Surprise knowledge gathered
It really is for beginners. And has lots of history which isn't exactly what I thought I was looking for but does add to what it is all about. I can see why elders think this is for the older person, after you are over yourself.

I did not enjoy this book very much
I did not enjoy this book very much. I had to force myself to finish it. there are many references to "so and so discovered that......", however no mention of how it was discovered. Also the examples are just not relatable to me. This reminds me in a way of Scientology, where Hubbard invents words, terms and a fantasy world with no relation to the real world. I have read a number of books in the realm of mysticism, but the good ones always bring you in with good examples or even proofs of sorts. The supposed life lessons don't even make sense. this one is too far out to grab me.

a brief introduction to Kabbalah
Since this is the first introductory overview I've read concerning Kabbalah I don't really have any basis of comparison. It was a good read overall and revealed some new insight about the basic tenets of Kabbalah but the structure and flow of the book was a little confusing at it ended rather abruptly which I found surprising. The basic conclusion seemed to me at least to be that in order to maximize your spiritual growth you need to become part of a community of spiritually inquisitive people to support your growth and learning which definitely makes sense.

Kabbalah for Beginners
When I look at the world today, I can only see that most people seem to be self-centred, and want more than their fair share of things at the expense of others. Every where I look there seems to be violance and wars. To try to make some sense of things in the world today I have turned to Kabbalah. I found that this book answered many of my questions about why the world is going the way it is. R. Le Maitre
