Good Grammar for Persian
I just received this grammar yesterday. This grammar is a dozen steps ahead of old Persian grammars. The print in it is really big for some reason. I think the author wrote this grammar for children rather than for adult learners. However, the grammar is well organized. One criticism I would like to bring up is that the author uses a transliteration that does not make much sense. For example, he transliterates the word for "book" as "ke.tab". The letter "a" has an upside-down circumflex over it. I don't see any use for a period being used or using the letter "a (with upside-down circumflex)" for the letter alif. He should just spell it "ketob" like it would be spelt in Tajik. Otherwise, I would recommend it for the Persian/Tajik learner as the grammar is simple and new. But, on the other hand, Persian and Tajik are easy to learn.

Excellent book to study the Persian grammar
Excellent book to study the Persian grammar! First book I have been able to find where the grammar examples stay in the Latin alphabet throughout the book. My understanding of putting together a sentence and making simple conversations has increased 1000 fold and the cost for this gem has been very easy on my kife jibi.

Good, succinct, lucid.
Wonderful. To be used in accompany with a textbook of some sort, but I used this while waiting for my textbook to arrive and was learning just fine. The structure of the book is as follows: Grammar point, explanation, example, end of chapter, questions, vocabulary. Essentially like a textbook, but very succinct and lacking the repetition which is prevalent in textbooks, and for that reason it is not an ideal primary learning source; as stated above, use this in conjunction with another, primary, resource.

This book works like a course book although it is a grammar book
This book works like a course book although it is a grammar book. Every chapter has vocabulary and they are independent from each other in that respect, so that you can learn any chapter without learning from the start.

This book is excellent for beginner/elementary level
This book is excellent for beginner/elementary level. The grammar explanations are very thorough, the Farsi script is big enough and clear enough for practice, there are tests at the end of every section... Definitely worth the price. Don't hesitate!

A comprehensive book
Farsi as an indo-german language is interesting to be learnt. Though the book is in Farsi-English it easily to understand. The English is not too dificult. Farsi, itself, is written in Arabic Letters and transliteration, as well. I am really pleased with that book.
