5.9’’ Exhause Hose for Portable Air Conditioner

Bought to replace the original one that came with my old LG and it fit perfectly. Used all summer with no problems. Perfect.

Works as advertised. Size is accurate.

I made the mistake of buying the wrong one, but it's working great. Really, because of how the product is designed, you might still be able use the wrong one with the right modifications. In my case, I was still able to make it work by connecting it like usual, only I had to use two parts of the lining to make it fit. It's also going straight from the window to the portable ac unit without any sort of extending or turning of the tubing (which is how it should be used anyway, because turning or extending the tube can impact how well it pushes out air). My original pipe basically fell apart due to age, so it was hard to determine. I basically eyeballed it for a while, and thought I was right in my original assessment, but that was a huge nope. Maybe do a little more thorough research before buying, because it could be difficult to repackage and return this; otherwise, you might be okay with similar modifications, but I can't say with certainty, because it really depends on the end pieces where you're connecting the pipes. Also, probably best to not turn or extend the pipe at all, because that's probably what led my original one to fall apart; plus, it's better for the overall airflow to ensure your unit's operating more optimally.

Solid but Not Perfect Replacement Hose This TURBRO portable AC exhaust hose does the job—sturdy enough plastic that doesn’t feel like it’ll collapse with normal use, and it stretches out to its full length without kinking too badly. The 78-inch reach gives extra flexibility compared to the stock hoses that usually come with portable AC units, and the 5.9-inch diameter fit my machine without modification. That said, the fit isn’t quite as snug as I would’ve liked. I had to fuss a bit to get it to lock into place securely, and even then I added some tape around the connection for peace of mind. Once in place it stays put, but I’d caution that it may not “click in” cleanly on all models even if the specs match. Performance-wise, it holds up fine—no noticeable air leaks once I sealed the ends, and it doesn’t heat up or soften under heavy use. The flexibility is decent, though like most hoses it’s not meant for repeated bending or rough handling. Bottom line: A solid and affordable replacement hose that extends reach and works reliably once installed, but be prepared to adjust the fit and maybe reinforce the connection for best results.

This part is a game change!! I'll begin by saying I bought my portable air conditioner on Amazon and it's a Black & Decker product it was a very good price it came when it said it would the instruction manual is wonderful. But wait for it .. don't buy Black & Decker they have no parts they have no support system in place you can call every number you find on the internet and you will not find what you need they do not have a parts department to replace any part to anything they own I even made up some items that I didn't buy and tried that This exhaust tube is durable it's well built the cupping was easy to do in the reverse counterclockwise order it did not compromise any of the exterior of the bend in it and it's very flexible and it is very durable and I'm very pleased with it I highly recommend this product. Again Black & Decker portable air conditioners are great I recommend buying a replacement tube from this company right after you buy your Black & Decker air conditioner cuz you're going to need it sooner than sooner thanks again I really like this product it's really good

the hose is the right size same quality ass i have already i needed to extend out the unit further and this is just what i needed

I just wanted to write this review for all those like me who could not find the size of the hose that came with the LG LP1215GXR. This is indeed the right hose. 5.9" counter clockwise. LG absolutely will not tell you what the measurement for the hose was except that it's a 5" hose. Believe me, I went through the Manual, LG's customer support, lgparts.com, and their older service that I can't remember the name of. They absolutely refuse to tell you that it's a 5.9" counter clockwise hose. Get this one. (Just FYI I know I could just measure the opening of the hose, but mine was so damaged it was falling apart from any subtle movement, and I didn't want to make a duct tape hose to use while I awaited another in the mail. Or find out it was some proprietary size that can't be ordered and no longer have a hose. Basically if I wanted to measure the hose correctly, it would have destroyed it)

I bought this as the existing LG hose was to short. It arrived well packed and not damaged. I extended the hose out and the diameter 6 inches fitted perfectly to the LG unit and to the accessory that fits into the wall. The hose is reasonably flexible and I had two 90 degree bends on it to accommodate the fit. Once the unit was on, the noise level was about the same as the LG hose. It is a bit thinner which makes it easier to flex. Now most Portables give off heat on their hoses this gives off about the same. so I got some flex hose from Home Depot, 12 inches by 25 feet and wrapped it around the hose. This does two things. Reduces the noise level and really keeps the hose from adding heat into the room. I would recommend this product. For LG units you need to order Anticlockwise. Hope this helps.
