I really doubted that this would work but was amazed. In no way do I know much about wine. I either like it or I don't, though I am partial to reds over whites. I used it on a very inexpensive bottle of Sicilian red wine that I get at Trader Joe's. In the past I have always opened the bottle and let it breathe for about 20 minutes and have always thought it was a pleasant red for the price. When this little gadget arrived I decided to do the experiment that is suggested in the instructions (unfortunately, only a PDF file that must be read on the computer or printed out). I opened the bottle and immediately poured a small amount in a glass and tasted it. It was awful and I couldn't believe that I had enjoyed this wine in the past. No way, I thought, would this little aerator make the wine palatable. In fact, I thought I had just purchased a poor bottle of this particular wine. I then immediately put on the aerator, rinsed the glass, and poured a second glass. From the time I opened the bottle, no more than a minute or two had passed since I poured this second glass. I couldn't believe it. It was as if the wine had been opened and allowed to breathe for 20 or 30 minutes. It was the wine I remembered.Again, I am in no way a wine connoisseur (not even close) but the difference was fantastic. Highly recommended, especially if one wants to improve a red wine quickly. Ironically, the instructions state that a bottle of red wine costing less than $12.00 won't need this aerator because the wine is made for immediate consumption. That certainly wasn't the case with this $4.00 bottle; the improvement was most definitely noticeable.One final note. I was in no way compensated for this review. I paid full price so this review is untainted by owing a review (good, bad, or indifferent) to the company.

Does exactly what it claims, and how can you beat the price? I could tell the difference in two blind tast tests, so could my husband and my mom. My dad failed the test, but he prefers white and we were drinking red. Anyway, 3 people out of 4 is pretty good results according to me!I've tried it with several different styles of red wine now, and it has improved each of them. Sometimes just a little, sometimes a lot. In each case, it's enough that I prefer to keep using it for the rest of the bottle. I have not tested it with white wine (not even sure you're supposed to aerate white?).It's really easy to quickly rinse out when you're done drinking for the night; I did not even attempt to seperately the black and clear plastic pieces as I see no need. Maybe if you let wine sit and dry in it overnight? I'd rather rinse it quickly while it's fresh.

Maybe the problem here is that I buy good wines that are exceptional right out of the bottle and don't require long breathing time to enjoy their full flavor. Simply stated, I have tried this on four bottles of wine and I can't find any significant difference between the wine poured through the aerator and the wine right out of the bottle. That said, the company was very thorough in their follow-up with me and was more than willing to do what was necessary to assure our happiness. That doesn't change my feeling about he rating on the Aerator, but it certainly gives me confidence that the company is committed to their product.

I bought this aerator back in April 2016 and I love it. The only thing I can say is the little clear bottom piece which sits inside the bottle under the black rubber ring, fell off almost immediately and wouldn't stay on after that no matter how much I tried to put it back on. Without it, it is still usable and I don't know if it would make a difference having it on. Does this product have any kind of warranty?

I have noticed a big difference in taste when using this to pour a bottle of red wine I like to drink. It stays on the bottle, no worry of it falling off while pouring. Easy to clean, just rinse warm water through it. Looks nice in its stand. Good presentation in the box it arrived in. Would make a nice gift for any wine drinker. Bottom line is, if you drink wine, you should own one of these.Update... I find I drink more wine now. Not to a dangerous extent. This was a great purchase.

I am not a big wine drinker. My boyfriend and I spend a lot of time with other people who drink a lot of red wine. We have heard people rave about aerators. So I researched and found this to add as a stocking stuffer. We opened a new bottle of wine and immediately drank some. Then used the aerator and definitely noticed a difference. To me, it seemed "lighter". We really liked it and now on the rare occasions when we do drink some red wine we use this. Worked perfectly. Easy to wash. Also, prevented red wine dripping down the bottle after pouring it.

This aerating Pourer for wine works well; we tried the wine before and after using the aerator and you could tell the difference - less harsh and more mellow. I chose this particular one since you can attach it to the end of a bottle and use only one hand to pour. The other one I looked at and almost purchased required you to hold the device over the wine glass with one hand and poor the wine with the other hand; this looked to me like it would be very awkward. Thanks for the great product and service.

While the aerator itself is pretty good, they sent me one that didn't seem new and had a scratch on it. Additionally, the little bottom piece which sits inside the bottle under the rubber ring fell off almost immediately and wouldn't stay on after that. It is still usable, but I am not so satisfied with the product overall.
