AKLOT Lyre Harp, 7 Metal String Bone Saddle Mahogany Lye Harp with Tuning Wrench and Black Gig Bag

I bought this due to the price and the fact that there was enough space to play the all strings from the back with the left hand in addition to the front with the right hand. It is also flat, so I found it can be played laying horizontally like a lap harp and is easier to play with two hands like that.The construction on the one I bought is faultless, and for the price, it is great value. There is no chemical smell or anything like that which might come with cheaper items from some sources. So I am happy about that and I can tell it has been made with care and attention.The strings are high quality and like acoustic guitar strings. I found them easy to tune and found they stayed in tune very well.My only issue, and it may be the case with most instruments like this, is that it would have been easier to fingerpick if there were more space between each string.All in all though, a great product for the price and it sounds great.

It's a nice little harp. I got the 16 string solid one. The build quality is functionally acceptable. The string holes are a bit rough and ready, and the pegs are screwed in with wood shavings. But you'd be paying a lot more for the kind of finish you'd find on an intermediate to professional instrument, so absolutely no complaints.Like any instrument, it will take a while for the strings to settle. They'll detune pretty quickly after the first tuning. Do it a few more times over the next few days and they will hold the notes as the string metal gets used to the tension.The sound is sweet and pleasant.Haven't tried the electric pickup yet so can't comment on that.

I'm a sound healer and purchased this harp for myself to use in meditation but also to use when providing sound baths for others. I found it easy to tune and the sounds are absolutely beautiful! It also keeps its tuning well over time, with just an occasional tweak needed here and there. It has enough strings to provide a variety of different playing options without being too basic or overly complex. I find it very relaxing and soothing and I really like how you can feel the vibration of the strings through the wood when you play it. My only criticism is I don't like the logo being branded right in the middle of such a beautiful piece of wood - it takes away some of the charm of it's appearance in my opinion but obviously doesn't affect my enjoyment of playing it. Overall, I'd say it's a good quality instrument for the price and would recommend it.

A beautifully made lyre harp with a clear, pure sound. Unfortunately I had to take one star off because the highest string doesn't stay in tune, but I reckon it can be fixed with some musical TLC. Otherwise, a lovely instrument for such a small price.

I always try to avoid buying an instrument over the internet, like to get an actual feel of it before I part with hard earned cash. However, difficult to find a lyre locally, so went for this. So far, no issues and very pleased. Its a solid piece of wood, and feels sturdy, looks gorgeous.Was expecting a few days for tuning to really settle, but it seems to have done so quite quickly. The lack of sound box means its very quiet, but this isn't an issue for me, and after watching video of other Aklot lyres that have sound boxes, I think this one has a better tone anyway

It's a lovely little lyre but it is very tempremental with the tuning.

I’ve never reviewed anything before but if you’re like me and never picked up a lyre before, I’d definitely recommend this one. It’s easy to tune and play and the sound is beautiful, as well as being lightweight and comfortable to hold. Comes with extra strings and tuning tool as well as lovely soft bag.

I cannot play it. It wont tune. pegs sli hopeless. Like the look of it. But wont tune

Het geluid in deze harp-lier is heel mooi, echter is het onmogelijk om hem gestemd te houden. De snaren verlopen waar je bij zit ahw. Heel jammer. Ik zou contact met de leverancier op prijs stellen?

Superbe cadeau, non accordé. Une notice aurait été super mais nous avons trouvé comment l'accorder avec une application et une recherche internet.

Bellissimo il design minimale, il suono e` davvero piacevole. Il suono riverbera piacevolemente a lungo. Arrivata in ottimo stato con gia` le corde di ricambio in caso si rompessero, la chiave di accordatura, una borsa, ed il pick up. Quest'ultimo estramente utile per collegare la lira ad un amplificatore o per registrare il suono collegando il pick up ad una scheda audio. Non ho fatto troppa fatica ad accordarla utilizzando Gstrings o altre app di accordatura per android (ci ho messo circa 20 minuti la prima volta, poi sempre meno). Va aggiustata poi l'accordatura ogni tanto, ma nulla di preoccupante. Il legno e` di buona qualita`. Davvero soddisfatto dell'acquisto!
