Keeps pencil easy to find
I had one of these I got at H. D., but my son (7) liked it so much he "borrowed" mine. So I needed a new one. This one was cheaper and just as nice. I like this one better than the one I got at the home improvement store because it holds the pencil tighter. I have it hooked to my woodworking apron. It keeps me from putting the pencil behind my ear or chew on it, easy to find and keep it so it doesn't hang over my work, and easy to pull out when I wear gloves.

Used every day by my wife the nurse
My wife (a hard working Registered Nurse) asked me to find something that would hold onto her pens and also retract out of her way when she needed it. This pencil pull worked great, and she uses it every day. Who knows how many times she extends and retracts this during each twelve hour shift (maybe 50-100 times) and it keeps on working.

Very Handy
This keeps the pencil within reach at all times. Had my other one for years and glad to have this one to use on my job. Work is much easier with this.

Wish the string was little stronger
I been using this product for a month now and it seems like the string is becoming undone. Great product four string quality.

Husband Approves!
I bought this for my husband, he’s a flooring installer. I noticed while on a job with him that he kept misplacing his pencils, so I found this and ordered it. He loves it! He no longer has to waste time looking for his pencils! Thank you!

Great product with immense utility, but breaks quickly.
Product had immense utility value. With that said you get so used to this when it fails you feel like you are always grabbing at your pencil that isn't there. I bought 5. If you use this all day, it will break in 5 days. The ferrule inside that acts as a bushing is sharp due to a manufacturing issue. It cuts the retractable line rendering the product useless. Hope this helps.

Not bad but not too great
Not a bad product for small workload, but it didn’t hold up the the rigorous task of reflooring a house.

6+ months and going good
I have had 5 of these that we use daily, and they all have been working fine for going on 6+ months. All of ours are set up so we just pull straight down. any bad reviews may be with people pulling up, when its facing down. I imagine that causes a lot of wear on the small string, causing it to break
