Memorex Personal CD Player System with LCD Display 60-Second Anti Skip & Ear-Buds Gift box (Certified Refurbished)

I bought this product in June and listened to one book. This week I tried to listen to another and the CD player doesn't work. I changed batteries, had a tech-geek friend look at it -- nothing. And the return window closed 7/24 so I have no opportunity for remuneration. (I know, I know. You pay $14.95 you take your chances.)

I ordered and returned 2 of these. I'm only giving it 1 star b/c there were no options with anything less. twice we put batteries in and twice it never even powered up. Very disappointed. Return was easy but I really wanted it to work.

Only played one cd on it and it stopped working. They refunded my money, but charged a $3.00 fee. Are you kidding me?!

I had just come across this author Named Michael Lewis. The Big Short my Wife and I listen to it coming back from Ruidoso NM. really enjoyed it so I got some other books on cd of his. I wanted to listen to him but don't do a lot of driving so I orders this cd player. It never worked although the message hold lights up. I guess I could have demanded my money back but $15 is not really worth the time and effort. I suppose that's what the seller had hoped. This is the one time I should have read the reviews. None of them worked. I am surprised that with this many bad reviews that Amazon allows this product to be sold on it's site.I really would like to complain to Amazon but that's like trying to get help finding something at Sam's Club.

Got this for my son for his birthday and It works great, is good for kids but it is a bit tricky to get it to play as the buttons can be confusing. it doesnt just say play, pause, stop, etc...

skip protection is not very good

I REceived the product and it is not working at all!

Bought this for my daughter in October for Christmas. Been sitting on a shelf the entire time. She unwrapped it yesterday, couldn't get the song advance buttons to work, and within a couple of hours, it began to burn where the batteries are held. The bottom of the unit is charred directly under the battery pack. Naturally I cannot return it because the "window" is closed but this was defective and I'm lucky it didn't burn my daughter. Won't ever buy Memorex products again. They used to make quality products, very disappointed.

Sent it back right away because it didn't work. Bought another brand at Target. Lasted a month. Maybe these products weren't meant to last?Would not buy again.

I bought this unit for my child's SAT test. Test on the unit was done a couple of days ahead of the test. However, on the test date, the unit did not work for the test.
