Claire Fontaine makes some of the best paper anywhere. If you use fountain or gel pens, just remember that the oil from your skin won't absorb into the paper as it does on cheaper pads, because the surface finish of the paper is harder, which means oils sitting on the surface could make your pen skip. Just slip a small piece of cheap paper or a tissue under your wrist when writing; it will absorb the oils, so you pens will write perfectly--and without any bleed-through! It's also acid-free paper, which means it won't turn to dust five years from now. Perfect for taking notes or diary entries you plan to keep and refer back to.UPDATE: This is the best writing paper I've yet found, but the last time I ordered, the notebook cover was creased and dented. Maybe most people wouldn't care about this, but for this price, they should arrive in pristine condition --especially as it is a hassle to return/replace them, when you order them to fulfil a specific need. What a shame!

I love these notebooks! Yes, they are pricey, but the paper is high quality. I got my first Clairefontaine notebook about 15 years ago, from the Container Store, and have had a hard time finding them since. This is the 2nd one I've ordered from Amazon, and I'm sure it's not the last!

I am a great fan of the Clairefontaine notebooks. When I lived in New York City I could easily find them. now that I live in south Florida there are nowhere to be found. The paper is smooth and a joy to write on. I even ought a fountain pen for the full throw back experience. I love the colors, it enhances my creativity. It is a joy to make notes in this note book.

I love notebooks, I love having different sections in different colors, and I love graph paper. This notebook provides all of those. I bought one years ago at a campus book store far from my home in Montana and wondered if I would ever find another one. Luckily Amazon exists, so when I went to look for a replacement, there it was. Very happy. As I knew I would be.

I did not receive the right notebook and was denied a return or replacement. So if you want a plain 30.00 notebook with nice paper go for it…if you want colored graph paper look else ware.

Arrived in bad shape, wires bent and sticking out. This is an expensive notebook that is usually worth the money. It's too much trouble to return this. I'll live with it, but it's not right to pay so much for something in this condition.

I've been buying Clairefontaine notebooks for years because of the quality of the paper, which is a delight to write on. I love the layout of this multi-subject notebook and am pleased that it comes with graph lines. I wish it had been shipped with instructions not to bend it, however, because even after just a couple of hours curled in my mailbox, it was thoroughly warped when I unpacked it, and the upper and lower rings were bent out of position.

The description describes a "pack of 5" and "pack of 10" but this is a single notebook. It is a beautiful and high quality notebook, but you only receive one.
