i have purchased other "plug n play" remote starters before for other vehicles. this was for a 17 f150. remote start was working within 10 minutes of opening the box. a lot of plug n play remote starts still have other wires that need ran, this one has none. simply plug into the OBD port and follow instructions. Wish they made this style for all vehicles.

Works perfectly on my 2020 F150. I opened the box, plugged it into the OBDII port, turned the key on, waited 30 seconds and I had remote start. Works flawlessly. I read about issues with range on other reviews, but this is a Ford keyless entry remote issue, not an issue with this unit. I’d suggest testing the range of your remote before buying if you have concerns. No range issues for my usage. Great price, and no hassles whatsoever. If you want fast and easy install this is the unit you need. Highly recommend.

I was really surprised at how well this device worked.1. It was VERY easy to install. I had watched the installation video before the device arrived. When it came in, it literally took me longer to open the boxes than to installed and use.2. It does not require an additional remote for the started. It uses my existing key remotes. No additional programming.I do have two minor complaints (not enough to remove a star).1. While the instructions in the box tell you how to install and pair with your car. It does not tell you how to use the starter (Lock-unlock-lock). Also, it does mention that you can use the same pattern to turn off the vehicle. I already knew how to use it from the video but if someone had not watched it then it should also be in the written instructions.2. It does stick down a little under the dash and near the brake pedal. It has not been an issue but I am worried that I will kick it.Overall, I would recommend this product. I have a 2017 F150 XL, 4x4, STX.

Item works as intended

Absolutely love this product. So convenient you can just plug it right in .works great. The only thing I don’t like is it automatically chooses your heat setting. It would be nice if I could set my own heat a little higher so it’s a little warmer when I get in and defrosts a little quicker

So far this remote has worked flawlessly. One thing I did notice while searching for the easiest route to take for remote start. I watched a few videos and one step in some of the videos was missing which is the last one. Do not skip this step! After you plug in it and turn the key on it starts the programming. After the light quits flashing start the engine for 15 seconds this finishes the programming. The settings on my truck for the heat is auto. I have rear window defrost and it even kicks that on with colder temps. Not all are going to be the same. This absolutely is the most easiest and convenient way to add remote start to your F-150. Very impressed with Start-X products.
