Perfect
This was just what I needed. My old clunky one was all rusted. This is streamlined and attractive. Easy to loop my fabric hose around. I think my hose is 100' long.

Perfect for my little Garden
I have a little garden behind our picnic shelter. I had a 50ft hose that laid all over the place and was constantly tangling around my ankles. Finally we purchased a 25ft hose that was the perfect size and we removed the gigantic plastic hose hanger from the building. In it's place I have the wrought iron holder - a simple, black hook that is the PERFECT size to hold the 25ft hose. It's easy to wind the hose around and the simplicity of the item is what I like most. No worries about bees building nests in it, no worries about the hose tangling or the water connections leaking. It's a hose holder, plain and simple and I love it.

Thin and Weak
I bought this about 7 years ago and it was made with a much thicker metal....Probably twice as thick. Now, it's so thin, it would probably bend if a hose if hung on it. Junk. They wasted my time and our resources.

Hose holder
Excellent quality & appearance, thanks to Amazon's supplier. Have not yet installed because where I want to place same is on a brick veneer wall. If I place the "holding" screws (2) I may stress the brick to failure due to the weight of hose. If I go beyond the btick to the wood, plywood or stud, will there be enough strengh? Plan "B" place a 4 by 4 in concrete & screw holder into wood post. In the mean time hoses (2) are on existing holders, which are rusting away, which is screwed into brick veneer. It's not like I am on the clock to replace the holders, but, explain why I have not installed them. No reflection on the product only as an engineer I am pondering all solutions. Ernie

Excellent Hanger for a Particular Homeowner (Including Installation Tip)
Looks great on our brick wall and is very sturdy. We have 3 of them on the house and they are hanging 100' Neverkink Max hoses which are commercial grades and one of the heaviest hoses. The holder doesn't come close to budging. The hanger looks classy and simple, which we really like. One simple tip for brick and mortar use. This will insure a perfectly sturdy long term mount. IT WON'T BUDGE! Purchase the lead wall anchors, matching stainless screws, and Loctite Masonary/Concrete Epoxy. I purchased mine at Home Depot. I did not use the included hardware.*Drill your hole*Fill with Loctite Masonary Epoxy (Next Step Immediately)*Insert lead wall anchors (Next Step Immediately)*Install holder to wall and let set for a few hours.

Pretty but narrow base makes it hard to insert screws
First of all, this is a lovely looking little hook. I like that it is cast iron and the design is very pretty. However, I was disappointed to see that the base was so narrow that it is not easy to insert the screws without your screwdriver or drill jamming into the arc of the hook. In fact, for me, it was impossible and I had to enter the screws at an angle. This made installation harder and resulted in screws not completely flat. It would have been easy to make the back plate just a bit bigger to make installation easier. Also, the screws supplied with this appear to be regular indoor screws covered with black paint. They will likely rust. I substituted some of the greenish rust-free outdoor screws. I don't like that the makers of this product thought only of appearance and not about durability.Another thing to consider before you buy this is that if your house has siding, it won't attach easily. I attached mine to the wood trim at the base of my house, but it's a bit low and the hose touches the ground. I think if I keep this hook I will eventually construct a vertical wood beam to attach it to. I didn't take off points for this issue, as of course it's not the product's fault I don't have a wood house. But I"m putting it here because it's something to consider before buying.

Exact Alternative Hardware
This is the second purchase for me for a second hose location at my home. Item would be perfect if had better hardware. There is a popular review of this item that suggests alternative hardware purchased from Home Depot. I thought I would include pics so people could know exactly what hardware to get that worked well for me.
