Panni Mix Bavarian Potato Dumpling (pack of 3)

Amazing flavor and so easy to prep! I did less milk and added an egg. Dumplings came out to taste just like grandma made them. I could never get flour and potatoes in USA to mix that way and taste quite like hers. This mix solved the issue. I will rebuy again and again and am sharing it with friends.

I put off buying this because it lists preservatives and then I reminded myself that I eat in restaurants. I make half a package at a time, and put the other half in a screw-top jar - using lactaid-free half and half, I end up with two tennis ball sized dumplings. I make them toasting one slice of Trader Joe's buttermilk bread, cut into almost-dice-sized cubes - if you boiled a dumpling in water (with a little salt) or broth, by the time the inside was cooked all the way through, the outside would be falling off, so you form a nearly flat dumpling, place half a dozen toasted bread cubes in the center, and then fold, forming a sphere, first adding a little no-salt onion powder or seasoning you would use for stuffing to one dumpling and leaving it out of the other. After about 20 minutes on the boil, I place the dumpling on a slice of turkey with Trader Joe's turkey gravy from the tetra-pack and have a real, very filling, dinner.

The Panni potato dumpling mix my family loves has become hard to find in my local stores so I was happy to find it here on Amazon in a 3 pack at a good price. The mix was fresh and delicious and made our Oktoberfest dinner a hit! Will continue to purchase here on Amazon rather than running around trying to find it locally.

First time we made them they were way too watery. Fell apart while cooking. Second time we used about 3/4 the recommended amount and they were fine. But also, cooking time is way to long. Check at about the time recommended.

I got 5 Knoedel out of the package which is what I expected. They were just like my Mom used to male them back home in Bamberg. Very good

My Oma in Germany used to fix this for me every Sunday in Germany when I was growing up!! She added a little nutmeg, used a little less water and added an egg. This with German Goulash (which is stewing beef cooked in a pressure cooker and then making the gravy} is my absolute favorite meal in the world. This Panni is the original and best Knodel (potato dumplings) in the world. I hope the seller continues to sell this product. As long as they sell I will buy! Thank you so much! I didn’t mind the price at all. When you’re far away from home, you’ll pay the price. Perfect dumpling making mix.Easy preparation and delicious outcome. I made two batches over Christmas. It was like eating in good ol Germany

I was only able to use only 1 package as the other two boxes were leaking the mixture, and it was all inside the shipping box from Amazon.
