Sparco SPR1 Chalkboard Eraser, All-Felt, Dustless, Black, 6 x 2 1/2

Great windshield cleaner, handy.

My wife needed an eraser and chalk for her Pinterest project of a chalk painted window. Asking me to take the lead and buy chalk & an eraser on Amazon, I started doing my research on the best items for both categories. The "dustless" feature of this eraser is actually a 2-part requirement. While this eraser may be high quality/dustless, it is also dependent on the type of chalk you have in your home. We had these "dollar brand" chalk that left nasty powdered clouds on her chalk painted window even after using this eraser. Since then, we upgraded to a higher quality chalk that I ordered on Amazon( Prang Hygieia Chalk, 3.25 x .375 Inch Chalk Sticks, 12 Count, Assorted Colors (61400) ). Since changing the type of high quality chalk, this eraser is working wonders. There is very little to barely visible chalk residue on our chalk painted window when erasing with this eraser. The reason high quality chalk makes a difference is because the Hygieia chalk is made of 95% pure calcium carbonate. This high percentage of pure refined chalk means it is virtually free of grit, greasy binders, or other ingredients harmful to board surfaces. This high quality produces a clean mark. Because of that, it erases easily. The eraser itself is light and some people complain of it being "flimsier" than erasers they remembered using in school. I can agree to that, but the reason it is flimsy is because, per the description, this is an "All-Felt" eraser. The kind you used at school had cardboard backing, which provided a stiff back/firm feel. Regardless, this is a wonderful eraser when combined with high quality chalk.

This is an absolutely top of the line eraser! People call me just for my eraser, I rush over and erase things for them. I highly recommend this eraser - I can't say enough good things about it. It erases, and erases, and erases, and erases. There is nothing left on my whiteboard - it's all erased. With this eraser. Also I use it for everything. I wash my car with it, I clean the cat litter box with it, I sweep the driveway with it, rake the leaves off the roof with it, comb my hair with it. Literally everything I do every day, I use this eraser for it. I once put wheels on it and rode it around my neighborhood. Everyone was waving, they loved it. If you're buying this eraser just as a museum piece, for people to come by and look it - wrong eraser for you. This bad boy is meant to be USED.

It's a chalkboard eraser. It does what it's intended for. I like the price of this one. How long will it hold up? I guess that depends on how much it's used and to aggressive someone is with it. I only used them in school before. I would buy this one again. Who needs a $10 eraser?

The product description was of a 6 inch by 2.5 inch dustless eraser. What I got was a 5 inch by 2 inch noiseless eraser from a different seller than on the product page. Looking at the pictured item it is hard to tell what it says. There were only 3 left at the time of my order. It was sent Prime and was here on time. I don't know if I should try it. From the mixed reviews, I would say this is not the item people love. It is for a child's room, I was really wanting dustless. Is this misfulfillment or deliberate misleading ads? I viewed some other seller's descriptions, and they described te by both dimensions in different places. I tried the eraser, it has minimal dusting. I agree that it looks like it will splay out and become less effrctve over time. I added a ribbon around the outside to try to delay this from happening. We will see.

Pro Tip: you can use this on the interior of your car windshield to get rid of fogginess.

A classic. Works well now and will be good for a long, long time.

We have been using this on our own, custom painted chalkboard wall and it has been great. The eraser requires regular cleaning as you might expect, or else it does not clean as well due to all the chalk build up. I'm not sure if I should be subtracting a star for this, but I am not sure in what shape or form that this is noiseless or dustless. Nevertheless, this seems to be best rated eraser that I could find here and it turned out to be pretty good.
