Great product. Self Tapping. Made my project so easy!
These screws made a scary job so easy! I purchased a new home and unfortunately didn't discover until after we moved in that there were many squeaky floorboards hiding under my carpet on the second floor. I started my search and soon discovered that this is a result of the floor board separating from the joist. This is usually the result of a builder using nails instead of screws to secure the boards to the joists. Ok so how do I fix? Figured I would need to get a carpenter which in my head = $$$$. Several you tube videos later I realize they make Squeeeeek no more screws that you can use through the carpet to fix this problem.. but it was at that time I realized I might as well pull up and replace the carpet (which needed to be done anyway) and fix my floors with these screws instead. I purchased a few packs, a drill and got to work. I soon realized if I was gonna do this I better do it right. I bought more screws and decided to do my entire 2nd floor. These screws made my work so EASY. They are self tapping which means I didn't need to predrill any holes. I decided to make my job easier and actually did tap them in to the floorboard. I didn't need to but I quickly discovered that I can drill them in much faster if I put each screw in place with a couple taps of the hammer. I placed a screw every 6-8 inches (in 99% of the case about an inch away from where the builders put the nail and tapped it into the floor board where it meets the joist and then I came back and drilled the screws in. They went in like a hot knife on butter. I had my own assembly line going :) and this made the process so easy. I am happy to report that my floors are 100% squeak free and my beautiful new berber carpet looks amazing! Note: at some point during this project I ran out of screws and even with Prime shipping I wouldn't get more in time to finish before my carpet needed to be in so I was forced to go to my local Lowes and purchase Grip Rite screws and while they got the job done- it was definitely more work. Those definitely needed to be tapped a bit harder into the board and they also didn't drill in as smoothly. However they cost MUCH less than these. I absolutely love these screws but I wish they were a bit more affordable. I don't understand why the #8 2 inch long screws cost SO much more than the other sizes- in some cases double! What a shame. For this reason alone I may not purchase again unless it is a smaller project.

Great Screws and Great Value!
GRK Screws are always top quality! It’s much better to buy these screws in bulk to get a better bang for your buck.

Great screws in every respect
I used to use Primeguard Max construction screws, but the heads would constantly break off or the stars would strip out with minimal torque. I switched to GRK after getting fed up with that, and they have been GREAT. I've never had a head break off with these. I've maybe had one or two heads strip out when I really cranked down out of thousands of screws. They go in cleanly, almost never cause splits, and make secure connections that supposedly have structural shear ratings (though you will probably want the 3 1/2" length for that). The coating on them is rated for ACQ pressure treated lumber as well. Love these.

great functionality and durability, vastly superior to phillips head
I never want to use phillips head screws ever again! These are vastly superior in engagement surface and the ability to handle more torque which means they don't slip out or strip nearly as easily. I've used these for lots of different indoor and outdoor applications and their quality is top notch.

Well made, worked great with osb.
Worked great to attach multiple layers of on to a home theater riser. I did have to predrill. Pricey though.
