Fits the old black stator
Hope to mention about the red adapter stator That should be installed with it if changing from old black to this red stator. Otherwise Works great

It’s Alive, it’s alive... hahahahaha
The missing piece to the puzzle. My 05, 2 stroke 60hp mercury was not getting fire to the plugs, after replacing burnt wire harness and rectifier with no success, I purchased this stator... after installation and hooking everything up, EUREKA! Spark plugs are firing, motors runs... it’s alive, it’s alive .... hahahahahahahhaaa... would recommend this.

OEM replacement for 40 HP Mercury
Fit well and the motor runs well. The cost is the only reason I deducted one star. Expensive, but if it runs for years it won't be a big problem.
