REMO Mallet, 5/8" x 16", Wood Handle, Foam Head, Soft Black Cover

Super nice - absolutely what I was looking for, has a larger tip that what comes with their 16" drums, very happy with it - looks as described in the picture and description and made very well.

It is bigger than I expected, but just as described. Lesson to me: pay attention to the measurements given! It works very well for what I need in any case.

I own a pair of Remo Mallet 5/8" x 16". Really large mallet, I use every day. But for some odd reason if you use them so hard the felt at the tip will fall apart. This had happen to me last week Drum Circle. I have repaired it use are large Velcro Cloth end which did fix the issues so much I did the other Mallet also. They wear out very quick these mallets. The soft black cover you can make your own though, not hard to replace the foam head. I gave this 4x out of 5x stars because of the Foam Head with the Soft Black Cover can't take heavy beating without falling apart on my New Remo Versa Tubano Drum Set.

These mallets are perfect for the Remo Rhythm Pal bucket drum and for Tubanos. They are soft enough to be safe for drumheads with enough padding to produce a nice sound.

My 5 years old boy won't break that one! It's nice and sturdy, yet soft and padded. The perfect balance at just the right price for your drum!

Perfect size and thickness for my older geriatric patients during our music therapy sessions. Easier to grip, and allows for a longer reach. Great for working on both gross motor and fine motor skills.

The handle is slippery and slips out of my hand when I am drumming. Could use a grip or something. The striker end is not super sturdy. The padding moves around and it seems like the fabric cover is just attached with something akin to a small strip of electrical tape. It does the job fine but I’m not blown away.
