Hillman Interior Privacy Keys

I'm SO happy with this privacy key (well, it's actually an anti-privacy key; but whatever). I've been obsessed with being able to unlock our bedroom/bathroom doors from the outside just in case my significant other has a medical emergency (God forbid!) We have Callan locks and I found out that they are compatible with Kwikset. I thought the one that would work would be the key on the right -- but it didn't. The key on the left works like a charm! Simply insert it in the little hole in the lever handle -- with the hooky-thing pointing to the left; twist the key to the left and voila, it opens the lock! I'm so relieved. The only complaint I have is that the key is very tiny and could be easily lost. I attached it to a tiny strap with some duct tape; and scotch-taped it inside my top dresser drawer -- so that it can easily be found quickly. I'm ordering another set today!

I never thought to buy a key for these doors until i needed one and this was perfect i was able to check around the house and see which doors needed which kinds of key and then order more of the appropriate kind

My younger kids love to lock doors. Both my husband and I have masters/advanced degrees and we still can’t use common sense when it comes to our younger kids shutting doors, laughing and locking the doors on us. After taking apart two locks and re-setting them, I got sick and tired of my 2.5 year old standing there saying, “Mama, you’re fixing the lock bc I locked it, right?” Who has that much enjoyment in watching their mom do that?!?! - my youngest! So instead of switching out ALL the door knobs, as my arthritic hands were unhappy to do so, and instead of continuing to have our kids find enjoyment in locking themselves in/us out of their rooms/other rooms, we decided to invest in these keys. WINNER! The kids now find it boring to lock the doors as mama can easily grab the key to unlock said slammed door (we hid multiple throughout the house, jokes on them now - clowns!!) Give yourself a favor. Just buy these to say you have them. You can even make a necklace out of one and tell your kids it’s a key... one of mine thinks they’re the bees-knees now that there’s a key on the necklace (made out of yarn).

The keys work with all of my interior doors. They are very sturdy and it doesn’t seem like they will bend or break so I am very satisfied with this product.

It is very important to have these on hand if you have interior push button locks with a small hole in the front of the knob. You want to have these handy if a door is inadvertently locked.

worth buying, only works for certain type of knobs.

It works well. I like how it came with a flat head and push key.

I ordered for my mom who locked her bathroom door and couldn’t get it opened. I live out of State and couldn’t help her. I had these sent to her and she used the one with the flat head on the end she opened it with ease. She and I were so happy. Great product
