Fine
Good artwork. Specially the bakery cooking sections are very cleverly drawn. But before reading this graphic novel, by seeing it's cover pic, I thought it's a boy and girl love story, but actually it's a boy and boy love story.

🌟⭐ 8.5 out of 10 ⭐🌟A cute light read for those in the mood of romance. Keywords: comic, slice of life, young adult, romance, LGBTBloom tells about Ari, a young teenager who want to move out of his small town to pursue music career in a big city. But his family and their bakery need him and he feel lost. All seems bleak until he meet a new boy in the neighborhood.Bloom is a short book good for quick read. The tone is light and the plot easy to read. Not much substance or deep messages, but still with its own charm. The romance feels cute and young. I can't help but rooting for their relationship.

Great story! Lovely illustration
Bought this because it was recommended based on the fact I really enjoy heartstopper. It definitely has similarities in art style and is a feel-good story. The only complaint I have is that the font size for the text bubbles is a little bit small for my taste

AMAZING
Bloom is a light-hearted and love-packed graphic novel that wormed its way into my heart to stay. Written by Kevin Panetta and illustrated by Savanna Ganucheau, this is a heartwarming story about finding yourself and stumbling upon love (oh, and baking. there’s lots of baking!)When Ari finishes high school, he’s dying to move to the big city with his ultra-hip band—the problem? His dad and his job at their struggling family bakery. Though he loved working there as a kid, Ari doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life wasting away over rising dough and hot ovens. A desperate search for a replacement brings Hector to his door, an easygoing guy who loves baking as much as Ari wants to escape it.As the summer stretches out, Ari and Hector become closer and closer over batches of bread. Love is ready to bloom… if Ari doesn’t ruin everything first. This graphic novel is, first and foremost, gorgeously illustrated. I fell in love with the cover before I even knew what it was about, and I have to take a moment to say just how lovely the art is. Every single page holds so much thought and care, and all the illustrative choices work together so well. This book is cozy; it’s like a warm cup of tea on a cold day, a comfortable sweater, a big blanket. I never wanted it to end. I wanted to exist in this world, with these lovely baking boys, forever.I fell into this story easily, and I happily let Ari lead me along his journey. Ari is young, and he battles with having his entire future stretched out before him and all the big decisions that come with graduating from high school. As someone a little older than him who still only has the barest ideas of what I want out of life, I really, really related to the road to self-discovery he goes on throughout this graphic novel. With that said, I also absolutely loved the way Ari came to find his passion. This was a lovely plot to go along with the romance in this novel, which is FANTASTIC.Before we get there, let's talk about Hector, who is a giant cinnamon roll that I want to…. tuck into my bed and cuddle with? Hector is, like, THE definition of a good boi, holy crap. Kind, hard-working, caring, Hector is officially one of my biggest fictional crushes… because he also seems very tall, and like he would have a soft tummy that would be very good for laying on.ANYWAY, MOVING ON.Ari and Hector come together slowly and naturally, forming a really sweet friendship as their romantic relationship grows. The contrast of Hector loving the bakery and Ari hate-loving it (because c’mon, he never REALLY hates it) is a really lovely combination, and I think that it gave a really sweet starting point for their relationship to grow.I think it’s pretty clear from the very beginning that Ari is attracted to Hector (same, my man, big same), and I was a big fan of that.Beyond all that, I absolutely loved the baking montages, and I spent way, way too long staring at them and cooing because they were so damn sweet. The way that their relationship so organically grows is just… it’s so good. It’s SO GOOD.Ari and Hector both have groups of friends that we get to meet. I liked the friendship woes that were threaded through this story, and I think the way Ari’s group changes by the beginning to end of this graphic novel is seriously another perfect aspect. It’s so true to so many post-high school friendships, and it all read really, really genuinely. With a little bit of conflict that’s neatly tied up at the end with a beautiful happily ever after, Bloom is one of my favourite books, and definitely one of my favourite graphic novels. This was easily a five-star read, and it’s going to be one I reread a lot (probably a few times a year, but especially in summer). If you’re looking for a quick read, a sweet, summery romance, and an absolutely adorable book about baking, Bloom is absolutely the best choice! I have no doubt that you’ll love it, since I have no doubt that EVERYONE will love it!

Den kom i bra skick jag tror det var någon kant som var lite förstörd men jag bryr mig inte om det
Jag gillade den men skulle vilja se mer av romansen mellan personerna

Forte sensação de nostalgia...
Eu conheço a Savanna Ganucheau deve fazer no mínimo... 5 anos? Eu lia a famosa webcomic dela "George & Johnny" no Tapas.
