Toy Story 4

How is it the 4th movie in an animated series won an Oscar? Most studios have a hard time making a competent sequel, and here is Pixar, stretching franchises beyond their limits and keeping them fresh and fun. I saw the first Toy Story when I was 17 with some friends. Now I'm watching the series with my 4 year old son, and am blown away that they get better every time. I had no idea how good the sequels were. He loves them. A word to the wise; if you're looking at this movie debating if you should rent it or buy it, please do yourself a favor and buy it. ESPECIALLY if you have young kids. They'll watch it over and over. I've made the mistake of renting Pixar movies. He always wants to watch them more than we can jam into the 48 hour window. Now he understands the difference between renting and buying. But a year ago? Try explaining to a three year old why they could watch something all they wanted for 2 days, but now you're cutting them off. Cold turkey. Maybe you'll have better luck than me. But I always wish I'd just bought it. Also, the whole Toy Story series seems to go on sale pretty regularly for purchase, if you're patient and check on it you can catch them for rock star prices. This movie series is such a heartwarming classic for all ages. My child loved it, and honestly, so did I. The story is sweet, funny, and packed with meaning about growing up and letting go. Parent friendly for rewatch.

I'll be the first to admit I was little skeptical about another Toy Story film, after the 3rd one had such a beautiful ending. However, I was not as much a skeptic as others who flat out disliked or skipped the movie, and decided to go into it wanting to have fun. Sure enough, I really did. I loved the new concepts that they explored in the Toy Story universe, some of which are just deeper dives from earlier concepts. Things like having a kid (parent), lost toys, new toys, etc. can all be compared to real-world concepts and that's what makes this universe so fun and full of potential. I loved the overall happy ending, and possibly an end to Woody's story, however I would love to see a 5th movie where they explore the outside world more with Bo & Woody as there seems to be a lot of potential. The BEST THING about Toy Story 4 is Forky. What a genuinely cute and funny character, who just wants to be TRASH! I died laughing any time Forky said Trash, and now find myself calling everything, including myself, Trash. The feature commentary was great, and the director and producer do a good job of even explaining what made them want to make this movie and why it was important to tell this story. The biggest thing this movie had to fight was Toy Story 3, but if you look at this as the beginning of a new journey it's a whole lot of fun. Keanu Reeves as Duke Kaboom is really fun, and Key & Peele starring as Duck & Bunny was a welcome, frantic addition. All around, this is a really good film that continues to build into the strengths of the Toy Story universe. I recommend this for fans who grew up with these movies, as I feel like it does a really good job of addressing the adults who grew up with this series as a kid, while also being it's own fun thing for kids today. Just really well done, great work from Pixar yet again!

My family and I really enjoyed Toy Story 4. It was a fun end to the toy's saga. Overall I would rate it about 4 1/2 stars. It is about as good as the 3rd film but not as good as 1 or 2. I really thought they would go somewhere else at the end of this movie. Like Bonnie parents surprising her of news that she is going to have a baby brother or something like that to start the cycle of play all over again. But this tale stays more with the separation aspect. I did enjoy the carnival theme and atmosphere although it is hard to imagine Woody and Bo Peep not eventually finding another child to love and focus on. Ducky and Bunny really play up the laughs in this movie. You kind of wish Buzz had more screen time. I loved the new Character Duke Caboom he was a riot in this film. The movie has a lot of positives and the usual tear jerker moments with any Toy Story film. The Pee Wee Herman dummies were pretty frightening. I liked the antique store idea you would think that they toys would get a lot of attention compared to lamps and the typical junk you find in an old store. My four and seven year old both had a lot of laughs and never got bored or uninterested in the story. I kind of thought that Woody and the gang would try to fix Gabby Gabby's voice box instead of Woody doing surgery to give him hers. The story has kind of run its course now and I would hate to see endless sequels coming out tarnishing what was once a perfect thing. Star Wars coming to mind. Small holiday specials would be fine but like Shrek not to many places you can take the story from here. Forky wasn't a bad idea but I could easily see Bonnie not caring about her creation the very next day. The film is definitely worth the rental price probably up to you if you want to buy it for your collection it was worth watching if you have kids.

Ahora con la PS5 ya puedo ver películas de Bluray en 4k, Dolby Atmos y Dolby Vision. La calidad de audio por ser Disney le baja un poco el volumen, pero en cuanto a la codificación del Atmos muy buena. En video se ve genial en 4K. Si eres coleccionista de este tipo de películas la recomiendo mucho. Adicional trae una versión de FullHD para que la puedas poner en otros reproductores en caso de que no tengas un reproductor 4k.
