What are the outside dimensions of the 4.7 cup container? Thanks in advance.

Approximate size is 7" long X 5" wide and 3" deep. Best part is the lids that fit the 4.7 also fit the 3.2 size container. PS...I absolutely LOVE these containers. They exceed any and everything I've ever brought and believe me I've brought plenty through the years.

Does pasta red sauce permanently stain the inside of the container?

I learned that putting a little dish soap in them with a little bit of water and shake it (obviously with the lid on) it removes the red staining from sauces....even works in the super cheap containers :)
