Great value
Order this rockwool all the time for our aeroponic tower gardens. These seem to be sturdier and do not melt away like some. Great value!

100% Satisfaction,
Arrived quickly. One cube was damaged, seller refunded 100%. Used remained cubes, 2 didn't even germinate the seeds. 100% satisfied with the remainder. Easy to use and fit snuggly in my 12 seedling nursery. VERY easily transplanted to soil. Will purchase again

spongey and malleable when wet
it’s very shapeable and stays wet for the most part. it can break apart and melt if it stays in water. it’s a sensory nightmare for sensitive skin. the whole bag is filled with dust that looks like fiberglass dust and it will get everywhere.

These are the good ones.
Perfect. I tried 3 other brands. The 1st was too hard and wouldnt absorb water. The 2nd was too soft and fell apart. These really are just right. They get and stay wet not soaked and dry out about every other day.

Always a great to use a dirt free rock wool slab of cubes!
1 1/2 " rockwool cubes for my gardening needs are just the thing for starting seeds and/or cuttings! You work with them wet to keep the dust in check especially if you are cutting them apart. They are perfect for the tiny squares starter tray I'm using at this time. These come in a slab, you, depending on your needs may prefer to use as a slab, I'm separating mine for my project and am totally happy to have these on hand. They perform well as any rockwool should, holds and nurtures your seedlings/cuttings until they are ready for next level advancement, onto another slab if you wish or set atop other substrate to continue growth, whatever your method, just take the cube and your offspring and move them right along. Great to use, inhibits other soil related problems, so yes, love them! Happy Growing!

ROSKWOOL
I THOUGHT THESE WOULD BE THE BEST FOR GERMINATING MY SEEDS. BUT THEY DON'T WORK AS GOOD AS SOIL MIX FOR SEEDLINGS

Rockin Wool
Excellent for seed starting in different hydroponics systems. Cut to fit with kitchen shears. Not a perfect fit for the Gardyn system, but close. Use a chopstick to press a hole in the center for seeds.

Horrible material
I am fairly new to hydroponics. This is the first growing medium material I've had besides the Aerongarden sponges. The product is messy, it flakes off everywhere and leaves particles all over everything. I used gloves since it was the first time I was handling this type of material and I have sensitive skin. My hands were saved, but it just flaked off everywhere and I ended up with a rash on my forearms due to the tiny particles embedding themselves under my skin. If you've ever worked with fiberglass, it was a similar feeling. If you try to cut them to fit any smaller cells for a tray, they fall apart. I used about 8 pieces and threw the remainder away. I will never use rockwool again for hydroponics or anything else.
