Cocotte with Steamer Round 26cm Dark Blue

Widely rated the best Dutch oven on the market. I personally have owned a few different brands including Le Creuset, Cuisinart and Staub and Staub is my all-time favorite. Well worth the investment - they last a lifetime if properly cared for. Purchased the 5.5 qt dark blue which was on sale at an outstanding price. If you only own one Dutch oven, this is the ideal size for braising, stews, large pot of chili, etc. I was half expecting a second quality with cosmetic imperfections because it was so reasonable but the one I received was immaculate! As a bonus, this deal included a high-quality, Staub-branded steamer insert. Not sure what I'll ever use it for but it is a beautiful bonus. As if the item itself wasn't a great enough deal, it was delivered from the UK to the USA within a couple of days!

This Staub pot is large, well made and great looking. The quality is typical of other Staub items that are sold in the United States. I was originally worried because there was a disclaimer that said it may be different than Staub that is sold in the US, but it was not any different, although it might actually be of better quality. The steamer insert is fantastic, and I have already used it to cook seafood and with vegetables. The pot, lid, and steamer insert all seal very nicely with each other. I have no bad things to say about the pot or seller, but my wife did say that the lid is very heavy to her. You may want to consider that if you have issues picking up heavy items. Overall, a huge success with the item and the seller.

Love my new Staub Cocotte! The steamer basket is awesome and the heavy lid does a nice job keeping the steam inside. It was definitely worth getting this combination. Every dish I have made so far came out wonderful! I have been a former user of Le Creuset but I have to say that I will be buying more items from Staub in the future.

Value is number one. Their price for the same 5 quart item was much better during one of their numerous sale days. Excellent finish. The steamer is a bonus for me but works well. Highly recommend if you have patience for an international delivery.

Best pot in my kitchen! The deal is too good to be true, so I was skeptical until I received the cocotte (which was pretty fast considering it is coming from overseas) . I have been a le creuset user until I needed a steamer of this kind which Le Creuset doesn’t offer, so I looked for the next best thing which is Staub, and I’ve been blown away! I have been converted to Staub as it is just superior on many fronts, and the steamer is top notch quality, I can’t believe I got this good of a deal on such a quality product! Bottom line is this is the best most versatile pot in my kitchen, great for searing, sautéeing, steaming… you name it. After being a long time le creuset user, next time I need a dutch oven I am going with Staub.

I bought this about a year ago and take really good care of it, and the enamel is coming off. I do not put it in the dishwasher. I handwash. I follow all of the care instructions.

This item was perfect and a better price than anywhere else.
