Great Countersinks
They work great for a great price. Plus the case with the foam insert is a nice touch.

I use gear oil as a cutting fluid. Works great, bits last a long time, Amazon has it too
I've been working with metal for the better part of 50 years. This NEIKO Bit Set is great I used them so I could use counter sink screws in 3/16" metal (NOT aluminum) Metal Diamond plate. Mighty sharp Like a hot knife through butter. I'm very happy with this purchase. We were putting this metal diamond plate down on the bed of a box truck. About 75 holes before we weld it in. 5 bits come in a little case. It took 2 days to get.......... Thanks for hooking me up Amazon.

Good for DYI Use
Purchased the Neiko 10218A Countersink Drill Bit Set, M2 High Speed Steel, 1/4” Tri-Flat Shank | 1/4”-3/4”, 5 Piece Set with Carrying Case for general DIY use. The set arrived in an aluminum storage case. Even though the case is designed to hold the bits in a rubber-type padded insert, one of the bits came loose during shipping and it bounced around enough to dent the corner of the case. The case is still usable and there is no apparent damage to the bit. PROS • The 3-side bit shanks fit well and lock securely in all of our drill chucks. • Bits appear sharp but have not tested them on various materials. Little doubt they will work well in wood and soft aluminum….real test will be mild steel. • Good selection of sizes. CONS • Chucked each countersink bit in our commercial quality drill press (that has very little spindle runout) to check the wobble (runout) at the point of each bit. Two of the bits had very noticeable wobble. There is some question if we will be able to get a good quality countersink with those two bits. • Clasp on case is already loose so we don’t expect the case to last long. At least the hinges are holding together so far. Recommend you consider this product if you are interested in a low priced set for general use around the house (especially if you purchase the set during a Lightening Deal). Just don’t plan on using these bits where you need high accuracy countersinks. This product was not provided as a sample for this review, so none of these comments are influenced in any way by the seller.

Worked well on Aluminum
I purchased these to do some standard countersinking on aluminum parts I was making on the mill. they worked very well, left a nice smooth cut, and stayed sharp for the entire project. Not sure how they'd fare with steel (but I suspect pretty well) since I didnt use them on steel.

Actually... great little drill bits!
I'm kinda shocked. I totally expected these to be a throwaway set. I grabbed them shortly after a move, categorically-unable to figure out which box had my USA Drill and DrillHog bits, and in need of something quick. Amazon same-day'd em. Fair enough. But... I'll be damned if I can break the things, or even DULL em. I mean, not that I've been actively TRYING to or anything sadistic like that, but... I build fine furniture. I've prolly put 500+ holes in Maple, Red Oak, Sapele, Ash, and gods only know how much birch ply, and they're STILL going strong. I've thrown out DeWalt sets in less time. They're short (but hey, they DO call em stubby), but that just means they don't ever have enough torque on em to snap. They're brad-point (so wood ONLY), but that's cool by me; I'm a woodworker. They're HEX SHANK (and yeah, against all common sense and likely the manufacturers' warnings, I use them - frequently - in my impact driver), which is unheard of, but again: I suspect the "stubby" part is why I keep sweeping up sawdust and not shrapnel. I epoxied one of those little rubber bit holders to one of my DeWalt impact drivers and just use it - along with these bits - exclusively for pilot holes, which, if I'm totally honest, they're better at delivering than literally everything else I have, outside my braces and bits (and sometimes, you just need a hole. NOW). My ONLY complaint (which I didn't even dock a half star for) is that the little rubber bit holder they COME IN sucks. they fall out of it if you look at it sternly. But regarding the bits themselves? The absolute best feedback I can offer is this: HEY NEIKO! If you ever release a 10- 18- or 24-pack of these in the full gamut of sizes? I'll buy them in a hot second. Likewise, if you ever want someone to TEST em for you in real work-environment settings, you call me, you hear? I'll be delighted to give you the best analysis and feedback you've ever received from an end-user.

Long drill bit and really last.
Okay, sometimes when you buy things like this for me which was a one time project, you think if I am able to get this project done with them I would be happy, but very shocked at how strong they are and how well they lasted. I had a price of channel boxed in steel that needed a hole on each side and the only way I would be able to line them up is drill all the way through. There was even a part that was welded and these drilled through fairly easly, did not break or become dull. Super great price too.

This must be the year of living dangerously! Nowhere is safe now that I can get into some of those deep, dark places where only a flexible chuck for a drill has been, and will go! No longer will I have to drill on both sides of a hollow or solid wall, hoping the two holes should meet. I once used trigonometry to successfully do that with a concrete drill bit for two surface holes about half a metre apart in a brick wall while wiring motel rooms. These drill bits are magnificently sharp, not just on the tips, but right down the flutes to the shafts. A hole for hanging and some coats of paint will finish this drill bit hanger, made of timber and MDF.
