PRINTS OF PAST SCENES ARE SO CLEAR,,, THE YEARS SEEM TO DISAPPEAR!!!
I was surprised how clear and realistic it looks! And the material is strong and feels like it will last forever. Also the adhesive is powerful, so you need to be very careful when peeling it and applying it. You don't want it to suddenly attach itself to itself, as one hapless reviewer lamented. This particular print appears to be eerily identical to the view of my back yard in Cleveland Heights.Ohio when I was a kid. The last time I was there my parents were still alive, and I was a young man still in high school. If I look at the scene long enough, it's almost as if the years magically fade away, and I can smell the fresh fragrance of the greenery,,, and hear familiar voices from the past calling my name,,. It was a peaceful time, and all my dreams were yet possible. I try not to spend too much time looking at the damn thing.

Installation tips:
This was shipped in a nice sturdy cardboard tube and wrapped in plastic without any damage. For installation, I found that three people (two holding the picture at each top side, and one with a good eye to stand back away from the wall and tell each person to lower, or raise her end, and to move the whole thing left or right), worked great! This mural went onto a recently repainted wall, so I let the fresh latex paint "harden" for a month or two before installing the "window", so I didn't have any issues with the paint lifting when it touched the wall too early and I had to peel it up between my two "helpers". I didn't follow any directions. I just peeled back about 6 inches of the backing paper all along the top edge (between my two assistants) being careful to instruct my "helpers" not to grab the corners too close to the outer edge. ( I didn't want the oils from their fingertips to cause the corners not to stick). Once they were holding each corner where I wanted the corners to be ( stretched taut, with the heels of their hands against the wall, but with their index fingers and thumbs extended out holding the mural away from the wall), I told them to "Freeze!"Then I walked up to the center and re-pressed the center to the wall working from the center out to each side. Once the top was "stuck" to the wall, all three of us, pulled the paper backing down from the back trying to stay pretty level and pressing out any air bubbles from the top and center, down and outward. (If anything, the center backing should come down faster than either side). When it was all done, we stood back and high-fived each other and said, "Wow, that was SO easy!"We positioned it so the bottom was fairly low as a real window would be - not high up like a painting or artwork - which I think adds to the realism. With a plant stand, and fake plants down below the window (since the office is too dark to sustain live plants) it's pretty impressive. I saved the backing for moving, but after reading other reviews, it should probably just stay on the wall. It can always be touched up with markers or paint if it gets scuffed up (another good reason for having a plant stand in front of the "window"). People have come from other offices to admire the "window" and at least one other preson ordered a smaller beach scene to install on the wall opposite her window. Sadly, it was not shipped in a tube (probably a different distributor with different packing methods, because the vinyl was the same) and it arrived creased! Nevertheless, we helped her install it to her satisfaction. Many of the creases were not visible after it was pressed to the wall but some remain as lighter "streaks" in the picture. My shipper was great!

Three Stars
I'm disappointed the window frame looks so 'clipart-ish' I was hoping for more of a tromp l'oeil look.

So obviously pixelated
So pixelated. I would have returned it if it wasn't a bear to put the backing back on. It is horrible to apply and looks tacky. It looks like a really bad blown up version of that picture.

Looks great!
I used a level to mark the wall and then started on one side to make sure I got it straight. It's large and takes a little patience to put up....take it very slow to lesson the chance of 'bubbles' and only peel off enough backing to adhere a few inches at a time. I had only 3 little bubbles when done so I poked a tiny hole with a pin and easily pushed out the air and removed the bubble. Everyone says it's looks fantastic! Even my 'a sticker in the dining room?' husband says it looks awesome!
