Frommer's Switzerland (Complete Guides)

Very useful, made the trip easier to plan and was handy while on the trip.

A must have if planning your first trip to Switzerland

I hope to go to Switzerland one day. I bought this book to get information on the country. It's a lot of reading. I wish it had more pictures of the small towns and landscape. It's still a good book to use for taking a trip.

It came in handy many, many times! First off was in planning my budget because Switzerland is not a cheap country to visit! Unlike other books that gave vague price ranges, this one includes exact pricing for hotel nights, meals, museums, and more so I was able to figure out in advance where I'd be cutting corners (I decided to do so on hotels, and there were some good budget options in the book) and where I would splurge (restaurants--and there were great ones in the book!).I also really appreciated the itineraries chapter which turned out to be quite accurate (in fact, the entire book was accurate) in letting me know how much time to spend in each place, how long it would take to get from one area to the next and about how much time I should devote to various museums and historic sights. Plus I really felt like the authors picked out interesting things to share about the culture and history of the country.Finally: the maps were quite helpful (especially the pull out one) and I liked the star rating system (made the book easier to skim). A must have guide!

Wanted more pictures

Frommer's is an excellent guide series. I'd ordered this, but was sent a guide to Florence--why, by the way, was superbly done itself! So I assume the Switzerland edition would have been, as well.

This is exactly what my Niece needs for her trip..

Achei um guia muito completo. E muito util pois ajuda a todos os niveis a visitar as diferentes regiões da Suiça. E actual tambem.
