Alex Grey 2016 Wall Calendar Calendar – Wall Calendar, July 22, 2015

Alex Grey came onto my radar in 2006 with the release of TOOL's 10,000 Days, which featured several of his designs, and I've been intrigued with his work ever since. I have the Alex Grey 2015 Wall Calendar and have been entirely pleased with it: high quality production all around, beautifully printed on sturdy, sustainable "mixed source" paper, with the artwork rendered in sharp, full-color glory that really showcases the stunning detail of Grey's pieces. Each one comprises layer upon layer of visual intricacies in which one can easily get lost, musing over their overt and hidden meanings and the webs of spiritual energy that Alex Grey perceives and tries to convey to us in his art. With there being so much to absorb, his designs make for a great complement to a wall calendar, as you get a full month of days over which to enjoy and muse upon each of them in turn. Careful, don't get lost...The 2016 calendar is produced identically to the 2015, printed in Korea by Amber Lotus Publishing, with updated artwork for each month being the only difference evident to me. These calendars include phases of the moon and US and Canadian legal holidays, as well as "important observances" of the world's major religions, which I found to be both interesting and educational (yes, Virginia, there IS stuff besides Christmas and Easter! :-P). The art is simply amazing and would suitable for framing or for use in other art or crafts after the year has passed, letting you further participate in the spirit of regeneration and continuity that Alex Grey's works embody. Get this calendar and ponder on, all year long!

Great calendar. I kind of outgrew the psychedelic art stuff on my walls so I ended up cutting the pictures out and using modge-podge to put the pictures on things like a cheap end table or dresser. Add some food safe epoxy on top and you can have awesome little unique furniture.

This was the second Alex Grey calendar I've purchased for my son, and again he was thrilled to get it. The artwork is beautiful, fascinating, unique, and incredibly detailed, but then if you know Alex Grey's work, you already know that.

Love Alex Grey calendars. This is my second year purchasing one. Now on the month of October. Hope to see one next year. They make my life that much better with the amazing artwork displayed on my wall. Thanks, Alex.

I don't see why any psychonaut would choose another calendar for this upcoming year. I has the 2015 one and was super eager for the month to change so I could see the next picture. THE TRICK IS NOT TO LOOK AT ALL OF THEM UNTIL THE MONTH COMES. It is so much fun. I was glad that the 2016 has all different pictures.

Beautiful illustrations each moth! I love that holidays from many different religions are noted in this calendar. We usually buy and Alex Grey calendar every year.

Love the art Alex comes up with. Lovely and trippy. Will buy one for 2017 when it comes out.

As always his calendars are filled with vibrant colourful surreal art. Great purchase at a great price
