There are two versions
Make sure you look at the box and get the one you want. Looks like there are two versions. One with the zip lock and one without it. Both work fine but you may prefer the zip lock.

Saved the day!!
I can’t say enough about how useful these little Travel Johns are. I originally bought them for a camping trip and they came in unbelievably handy. However, I also keep them in my car console, my suitcase, my husband’s car, and have given them to family and friends. Recently I was stranded on the side of the turnpike with a flat tire and learned that roadside assistance was more than an hour away. I could not get out of the car safely or walk to a restroom and I REALLY had to pee! Sitting in my car, I could barely concentrate on anything else and desperately looked around to see if there was something I could use (water bottle? Vitamin jar?) and then I remembered to check my car console. Bingo!! I opened the travel John, slipped it under my shorts while sitting in the driver seat, and nearly wept with relief. The product contains the urine without fear of spill, eliminates the odor, and I was able to put it in a grocery bag and tuck it under the seat until I arrived home to toss it into the garbage. Thank you, thank you for this amazing product. I tried another brand or two and they are nothing like this one. The quality is excellent and can’t be beat

Great for kids on trips.
Great for adults too. If you don't have time for a pitstop, stuck in the backup from the wreck ahead, or just have no clue how long it will be before you find another restroom, this product will allow for comfortable no spill relief.

A must have!
This is a genius product!! I have in my car at all times in case of emergency during car trips, sporting events or anytime there isn’t a bathroom near by. No spills, easy throw away and no smell. I have recommended this product to countless friends! There is nothing better on the market!!! THE BEST!

Priceless! Indispensable and disposable!
I have used these in a car in the middle of nowhere and most recently in the middle of a very large frozen lake where we were ice fishing. No way did I want to get back on the snowmobile for 15 mins to the nearest outhouse thing! Always have one in the glove box or going on a long hike. Indispensable and disposable!

Useful for emergencies, but not foolproof - for women, anyway
I took several Travel Johns on an Iceland road trip. I knew there may be times I would not have access to a bathroom, especially since I was taking full advantage of the sun never setting, and staying out well after many things were closed. Indeed I ended up using three of them over 8 days in-country. I used two of them more than once. In all five times, I was relieved to have them without having to spoil nature, but in all five times I also could not get a good seal, and it leaked urine down the back every. single. time. Thankfully I had wipes and toilet paper and hand sanitizer to clean up, but it definitely made it more of an ordeal. Not easy to use or totally hygienic for sure. Also, there is absolutely no way to use this inside a regular car if you're a tall woman. I'm 5'10.5" and thin, and there was no way for me to use this with the doors closed in my Kia Rio. Instead I found isolated places and opened both doors on one side of the car, sat between them (for a little privacy) on the running board/side of the car, and did my business. Would NOT work in a place with any traffic or people.I think the problem is the plastic cup part has no give... or maneuverability maybe? If it at least had a silicone lip all the way around, that might help quite a lot. Not sure if it would still be biodegradable though.Anyway, I really think these are a must have for emergencies or even for hiking/camping. Just be sure you have stuff to clean up drips afterward.

A girlfriend gave me one of these as a gag gift when I was pregnant, THREE years ago. I stuck it in my glove box and forgot about it. I never read the details about it or anything. 2 months ago, I had to fly to Chicago for work. I hit severe traffic on the way to the airport. By the time I reached the airport, I had to pee so bad I was almost crying. I decided I was going to have to park in short term parking just so I could be close enough to get my bag and get inside before I wet my pants. I get there...Short Term Parking is CLOSED. I HAD to drive out to the long term parking. I park, people are all around. I would have been seen (and probably reported) had I tried to get out of my car and squat. I literally didn't know what I was going to do. Then I remembered this thing in my glove box. I open it up, still there! I scoot to the front of my drivers seat, unroll this thing and put it in place and go. DIDN'T SPILL A DROP. I couldn't believe it. Then I sit there for a split second, contemplating leaving it outside of my car by the tire? I don't want to litter. I twist it up and stick this full bag in the plastic door pocket. Get out, grab my bag, hop on the shuttle and barely make my flight. Then it hits me, what if this thing falls over and spills in my car?? Is pee acidic? will it eat through the bag? Will the plastic get slack and dump this in my car?? I am NEVER going to get that clean or that smell out. Ever have a toddler pee in their car seat? I have. Doesn't fair well but you can take that OUT of your car. I spend the next 4 days trying to figure out how I'm going to sell my car when it smells like urine. I get back, land, take the shuttle and carefully approach my car, dreading opening the door. Slowly, I open it...the bag is in the exact position. Phew. I pick it up carefully, planning to dump it out in the parking lot and then discard of the bag in the trash can by the shuttle stop...wait, it won't pour? They have equipped this thing with the stuff that turns urine to a solid/get so that it doesn't spill?? GENIUS. I came home and bought a 6 pack. I have one in my car, and my husband's...and I gave the other 4 to my 4 best girlfriends. Little do they know, it might be one of the best gifts they ever receive! It could save their job, their pride, save them a trip to the clink for indecent exposure. This is my favorite amazon purchase EVER. Thank you Travel John. That is all.
