Great audio interface, great value too
item received in quick time from seller. The M-Audio Air 192/14 is a well made, very well built sturdy little piece of kit. On first inspection everything is in order and upon first use it's clearly a worthy investment. The unit I purchased did come packaged with an EU 2pin plug, however after contacting the seller I have been sent through an adapter at no extra cost. I look forward to testing it to it's full potential with the enclosed software ASAP. But after my first four channel XLR (inputs 1-4) recording (drum set, 4 mic set up) I found the Air 192/14 simple to use.. all good so far.

M-Audio AIR 192|14
A great audio interface. Had been looking for one for some time and when this popped up at Amazon as "Used like new" to a reduced price I jumped on it. Working really great and was recognised by my iPad immediately. No regrets so far. Only using it with headphones at the moment so can't say say anything about the outputs.

Quality build - not plastic
Excellent. Guitar inputs have attenuators. Clean audio. No issues with drivers with Ableton. I did replace unbalanced speaker cables with balanced to resolve pc noise breakthrough issue using Intel NUC connection on usb. Manual says they should be trs but I'm used to either /or being ok. So Not a fault in this product. It is a tad larger than it looks in pictures , over twice size of my NUC.

Works with GarageBand
This is my first music interface. I bought this to use with an old iMac (2011) with Sierra iOS. I’m using GarageBand and an M-Audio Oxygen keyboard. This unit was easy to set up, iMac recognised it straight away. I’m recording drums through it as well and this too has been a breeze. The unit is nice and heavy (doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy) which is reassuring. Vet happy so far, I would recommend....!!

What can I say
Had one off these in the past and I regret getting rid of it so I bought another one to use with my mackie onyx 12 mixer as I’m not sure about how to set up the mixer so as I can monitor the output from my daw FL studio 24 This is so much easier than faffing around with setting up inputs and outputs etc when you can just plug 2 1/4 jacks from the mixer into the back then connect it to your favourite daw via usb

Possibly the worst support I've ever experienced.
This a review of my m-audio air 192/14 that I bought from Amazon in June 2020. I'd like to give this device a 5 start review. It is well built, has an impresive feature list and, when it works, it sounds superb. However, if you are considering purchasing one, you need to remember that you are not just buying a device, you are buying a package that includes M-audio support. Which is where my experience has gone badly wrong. There is definitely a driver issue on windows 10. The review on here by Christopher Dorgan is exactly the experience that I have. Every time a new sound plays there is stuttering and audio drop out for around 5 seconds before it settles down. This happens with every source; start a youtube video in edge, chrome or firefox and you get stuttering, then it settles; open a game and it stutters then settles; play a sound or a sample in your DAW and it stutters then settles. The PC I'm using dual boots in to linux. When running under linux with the native linux driver it works fine. Obviously, some of the features are missing without the windows specific driver, but sound output is fine. So the issue is definitely an interaction between windows 10 and the driver. The driver on their website is still version 1.02 dated in 2019 so it's effectively already abandoned. Also, there is no combination of sample rate or buffer size in the m-audio driver panel, that will fix this problem. You can make it worse but never better. Likewise with windows audio settings. Over the past six months I have made three attempts to request support about this issue and have yet to receive a single response. Nothing at all. Take a look at the "support options" page on their website. Select the windows 10 option and have a look at the list of supported hardware. You won't find the air 192/14 as the supported hardware list says it was last updated on 11/28/2016. That should be a red flag as to the quality of support you are going to get. The only way to request help is a contact form on the website. I have never received a single response to any of my three requests. I don't even know if they got the requests. If you are considering purchasing this device then be absolutely certain you can live without support. Otherwise, go and look at one of the many excellent alternatives. Mine is going on ebay or maybe I'll just throw it in a drawer and chalk it up to experience. I'm certainly looking for a replacement and it won't be an m-audio. No matter how good this device is, it's simply not worth exposing yourself to such inadequate levels of support. Choose a different option.

Astoundingly good!
I found this unit to be an excellent performer. The detail coming through my monitors via Studio One is astounding. Even the headphone outs are beautiful sounding and can get to extremely loud levels, which is useful when tracking. Lots of features for a low price makes me a very happy customer!

I used to use an M-Audio Profire 610 from ~2009 and it still works to this day. However, in that time I have transitioned from a mac user to a Windows user, and having only firewire connectivity is limiting for me. Since my Profire has served me so well for so long, I wanted to stick with M-Audio instead of jumping on tp similar Focusrite products. Some of the reviews here were a tad limited or negative from my perspective as a potential customer, but I still thought it was worth a try to see how M-Audio's quality has stood the test of time. So right off the bat, I was all excited to start using it and in a rush I downloaded the 192 | 4 driver instead of the 192 | 14 driver like a dumb muppet, and was wondering why the app said no hardware was connected. After I got that sorted, everything else integrated smoothly. I like how the headphone outputs can drive my 300 ohm Sennheiser HD 800s with ease. If you turn the knob to 3 o'clock, it's loud enough that you'll feel your hair follicles vibrating. The mic quality and latency is sublime with my MXL 990 condenser. While the VU meters do work well indicating the volume levels of my turntable, I found that they are not very helpful when plugging in my mic. It's better to rely on your DAW in this case. I am very happy with the guitar inputs and really enjoyed noodling around with Guitar Rig and experimenting with different audio formats and sample rates. I suppose that thing that stood out to me about this device is how much it can do. I can route my vinyl to it, use a mic, have my monitors bumping, plug in two sets of headphones, jam along with my guitar, poke notes on my midi keyboard with my nose, all while listening for any notifications that may come through on my computer. I like that. One thing I miss that the Profire 610 had was a more robust computer interface. I could name my tracks for inputs and outputs, and I could control it on my computer. However, that device only had two gain knobs, two headphone audio knobs, and a master knob. I suppose it's nice to have a more physical interface and it takes me back to my guitar pedal collector days. As far as build and feel go, I am pretty happy. It looks very appealing and the metal chassis seems indestructible. My two slight complaints would be that I wish the main volume potentiometer had a little more resistance when I am turning it. It is super smooth. Also, the right side where the power goes in can get quite hot. I found that at a 192000 kHz sample rate it was much hotter than at 44.1 kHz and it kinda worried me about the longevity of the device if I were to be always running it that hot. When it comes to using it as a media device, I have been using it in conjunction with Voicemeeter Banana and Light Host. This allows me to have a lot of control over the inputs and outputs and I can also patch in VSTs if desired. All in all, I suppose my needs are a little odd, but this does the job at a reasonable price. Hopefully, this M-Audio interface will last me 11+ years as well.

M-Audio has really stepped up their game with this one. ALL METAL chassis with a top of the line premium finish. Sounds and looks better than any M-Audio interface I've owned in the past 20 years. Drivers are also very stable. Zero dropouts!!

Risposta:” You need to setup the 3+4 output in your DAW by adding in the I/O hardware setup or by adding it manually into Audio/Midi setup”. -----Excellent value for money------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- + Full and direct Mac compatibility; + Beautifully designed solid object design designed for the user; + Audio quality and pre-amplifiers; + Conveniently xlr and trs layout on the back + Dedicated guitar and bass inputs on the front; +/ - - M-Audio Support exists BUT.....It exists (also for Europe) and it works (!) if you can understand how to access it ( More Below the arcane is revealed); +/- Manual also in Italian rather detailed but that has not dispelled all my doubts; + Possibility to download audio software after registration, not only lite versions of daw. +/- Manual also in Italian rather detailed but that has not escaped me some doubts; + Possibility to download audio software, after registration of the site, not only lite versions of daw. I would buy it again. I must say indeed that I had made a return of the product (lucky who bought it at used price) because I immediately thought that the 3-4 outputs did not work. To these Line Outputs 3 and 4 (non-mainstream) I had connected a headphone amplifier, a case that is also covered on a diagram in the manual. From the manual: "Outputs (3-4): Use standard 1/4" (6.35 mm) TRS cables to connect these line outputs to a headphone amplifier, external signal processors such as a compressor, etc. Their levels are automatically +4 dBu". In addition : "Headphone source switch: These switches select which outputs (at rear panel level) are also sent to the headphone outputs: Main outputs 1-2 (1/2) or Outputs 3-4 (3/4)". But I couldn't hear anything. After contacting "amazon experts" who could not know any more about it than I could, and secondly desisting from opening a ticket to M-Audio because I was asked to register the product online, and I feared problems for a possible return, I opted to return it directly to Amazon, but requested the same product. Having tried the second product the behavior was similar to the previous card so I had to understand what was wrong.A generalized defect, a lack of understanding about the set up, a lack of clarity in the manual? M-AUDIO SUPPORT: (Obviously in English but this is not the problem). I registered the product but for support on the M-Audio website I was asked for a phantom Support Code. I lost a good half hour to understand how to get it or where to look for it, both physically (box or documentation) and online, from one page to another in loop..., but not even a trace of the Support Code. (Nebulous procedures). Therefore for exhaustion I filled the requested Support Code space with a random letter on the keyboard and... it worked: the Support from UK answered me! Answer:" You need to setup the 3+4 output in your DAW by adding in the I/O hardware setup or by adding it manually into Audio/Midi setup". Therefore, to listen to music outside of Daw you must use the headphones located on the front, while the aux outputs (3-4) output signal comes out the signal configured in Daw. Also, when I lower the monitor volume from the center knob (a.e using Logic), I can hear it from Outputs 3-4 as this signal is not affected. Let's say that the Manual, rather detailed, could have been written more clearly, especially about this aspect. The access to Support must be improved. The product as a whole is an excellent value for money.
