This lamp is great. I use it on my sewing table. High points:- Extremely flexible in positioning. Both the lower part (the stem?) and the upper part (the arm?) can be manipulated to put the light where you need it. You can even fold both parts together and then down to the base, for traveling. (The box even has a carrying handle.)- Twisting the shade actually turns where the lights point, to further direct the light- 5-step dimmer- 3 colors of light: warm (2800-3300K); cool (4000-4500K); daylight (5000-5500K)- Specs, according to the box: at 12 inches it produces 930 Lux, equal to a 100 watt bulb. Lumen output 300lm. Energy consumption 6W.- Lightweight, but stable.The lamp seems dependable so far. No buzzing, no falling over, no problems. The touch buttons frustrated me at first, but within a couple hours my fingers learned and I no longer inadvertently turned it off.I chose the metallic silver. The base and other plastic bits are white, and the stem and arm are a nice textured silver. It looks great. The cord is about 58" long from the lamp to the transformer. You can plug it into a wall outlet using the included transformer, or plug it into a USB port on a computer. Since I don't keep my laptop plugged in, I've only used the transformer.Oh yeah - it's also great for finding pins when I drop them on the carpet while sewing! Grab the lamp, sweep the light over the carpet, and there they are.

First one I purchased the touch controls worked in chaotic fashion and I could not dim or brighten the lamp. Returned it. Replacement came and I noticed that all functions work, but sometimes you have to press numerous times to get it to advance to the next level, etc. Also was changing colors when I was dimming or brightening, without hitting the color change switch. Then it switched off when I hit the color change switch. After further use it dimmed by itself when I passed my hand over it. What the hell! It's useable but frustrating and not working well for the price I paid. Unless the chance exists that I got two bad units in a row, I would tell people to stay away from it. It's a shame because it's handy, portable and casts beautiful light. But c'mon guys, the controls have to work reliably. I like it so much for my fly tying but may be returning one more time.

I purchased this light for use while embroidering. Have used it several days a week since purchasing it on Feb 22 (6 weeks ago). I am gentle with my things. This lamp has not be dropped or mishandled in any way. It just went off while I was using it and will not come back on. Did the usual troubleshooting - tried multiple electrical outlets, inspected power cord for damage, let it "rest" and retried. No LUCK! I was initially thrilled with the purchase - great design, functional, attractive. Unfortunately, in the end all it has is good looks. Very disappointed!

I am a little disappointed in this light. It has cool features like being able to change the tone and the brightness of the light. But it in not as bright as I hoped and I had thought it would be more portable. It does fold nicely but I thought it had a rechargeable battery and could be used unplugged for periods of time. But I was wrong about that.

I wanted to like this lamp but like other reviewers, found it's controls to be unreliable. The touch sensitive switches do not respond predictably and after a few months it just stopped working. I liked that it is an American company but am so frustrated by it's erratic behavior and that other reviewers had the same experience just makes me feel foolish. The website warranty wasn't helpful at all. Just do yourself a favor and get something else.

Although I delayed opening the package and using the light, it failed on the first try. In all fairness, my friend has used her light successfully for several months. Mine however is a bust with no return option as that date to return expired two weeks ago. My recommendation is to check the light out immediately to make sure you receive on that works properly.

Love, love, love this lamp! It has touch controls for on/off, color variations, and brightness. Not only that, but it flattens down for travel. How great is that? Got this to take to sewing classes, but am finding more uses for it around the house where good lighting is needed. Have to say it again: Love, love, love this lamp!

I hate it as after being used for a few months it stopped working. It is far to expensive to pay for a few months use.  Daylight Company Naturalight UN1327 Smart Light, Metallic Silver  Was great lighting with all the light type options but not working it is worthless
