SanDisk Ultra 64GB Micro SDXC Class 10 Card with Adapter
I recently purchased this micro SD card for use in my Sony Xperia Z3v android smartphone. Since my ever-growing music and photo library is much larger than the 32GB of storage that my phone came with, I needed to purchase an SD card that suited my needs. Storage space, price, speed, and quality were important factors to me when looking for such a card. Storage Space: I have 30-40 GB of music that I would like to have on me at all times. Fortunately, this SD card offered more than enough storage space for my music and photo library as well as giving me the comfort of knowing I will not run out of space on my phone anytime soon. There is also a 128GB option of the same card for those those who need it. These cards are truly for people who have large libraries of files they’d like to carry in a convenient manner. Price: It is important for me to say that I bought this card while it was on sale for $19.99 instead of the market price of $59.99. At the time of me writing this review, the same card was on sale for $24.99. Price was very important to me and was one of the factors that made up my mind on this purchase. I had been keeping an eye on micro SD cards from Sony, Samsung, Kingston, and SanDisk. In the end, SanDisk offered the best deal for my money and I would recommend waiting for great deals and sales like I did. Speed: The speed of the data transfer rates is something that I am always looking at when purchasing memory. Luckily, this card performs quite well with up to 80mb/s transfer rates, meaning playback has excellent quality and doesn’t stutter Copying files to the card is also easy and doesn’t take as long as other similarly priced SD cards. Quality: Quality ties in with the speed of the card because a high quality card should be fast. Thankfully, this card has exceptionally good quality and performs very well for my needs. None of my files have gotten corrupted, either. As far as the physical quality goes, there’s not much you can do to screw up tiny small plastic rectangle, so physical quality will be very similar to all cards across the board. I am very pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality, inexpensive SD card.

Works with the SanDisk ClipZip MP3 player
I bought this for my SanDisk ClipZip MP3 player, and with it, this MP3 player can access my entire music file collection from a single micro SD card. But I will mention a few things. First, I use the ClipZip with Rockbox installed. Among other advantages, the one that really matters for a card with this storage capacity is that it stores its database, so that it doesn't have to rebuild it every single time I turn the MP3 player on. Another advantage is that it gives me immediate access to the directories and files on a micro SD, so that I can play music even without building the database first. In contrast, the native firmware on the ClipZip will start by building its database when I turn it on. When I turned this on in its native firmware mode, it was taking so long to update the database that I gave up in frustration and went back to Rockbox. Although it also took a long time for Rockbox to build the database, I was able to listen to a podcast on it while it was doing this, and now that the database is built, I have immediate access to it when I turn it on with Rockbox. Second, the ClipZip works with cards formatted with FAT32, not with exFAT, which is what this card was originally formatted with. So I had to reformat it to FAT32, and since Windows will not format a drive with this much storage in FAT32, I had to use a third-party formatter. I did it with a program called fat32format, which did it in a matter of seconds. Third, when I used MediaMonkey to synchronize my music collection from my external harddrive to this card, it deleted my music without copying any of it. So that was the wrong thing to do. Fortunately, most of my music files were already stored on other SanDisk micro SD cards, and when I finished copying their contents over to this card, the Music directory was 131 GB in size, which is approximately what I remembered the size of the music folder was on my external harddrive. So I retained nearly all of my music. Copying the files took some time, but I got it done in a few hours. Since starting to write this, I checked my harddrive again, and my music directory is 143 GB in size. So maybe there was some kind of glitch. I'm happy to have my files back, and the lesson I've learned is to copy, not synchronize. Fourth, I just got it yesterday. So I can't say anything about durability or long-term usage. I have previously been using my MP3 player with smaller capacity micro SD cards from SanDisk, which have all been working fine, and this includes a 64GB Micro SDXC card. The main reason I got this one is so that I could keep all my music on one card instead of switching between different cards. The main glitch I've noticed with both this and the 64GB SDXC card is that it sometimes needs to finalize rebuilding the database, but I also noticed that this doesn't take quite as long as doing it the first time. Overall, it seems to be a good card, and I'm pleased that I can finally use my MP3 player with a Micro SD card large enough to contain my entire music file collection with some room to grow. I stopped regularly buying MP3s and switched to streaming a few years ago, but with some more room to grow, I may rip the large classical CD collections I bought from Brilliant, pick up some bargain-priced MP3 collections from Amazon, or check out what's on Jamendo or other free MP3 sites.

You want the best, so you buy the best.
SanDisk is great at producing quality products. I have a bunch of these cards and this one is no different. I purchased this memory card because I needed one for the Samsung Galaxy Gear 360. The cool thing is I did not have to format the card. I popped it in to the Gear 360 and the formatting was done for me. Keep in mind that buying a 64 gb card does not mean you get 64 gb of storage. You get 59.60 gb. Keep in mind that if you plan on shooting 4k video on any camera to factor in the amount of space per minute. For the Gear 360 the 64 gb card holds about 13 minutes of 4k footage (450 mb per minute). This card keeps up with the writing speed of 4k. I also have the same card in a Raspberry Pi 3 and I have had no issues. For anyone without a Raspberry Pi 3 just know that it is not always easy to tell that your device is powered off because the power light remains on when the device is powered down. So, there have been plenty of times that I have thought the device was turned off, unplugged, and found out that I forgot to do a step or two before the device was fully powered down. Still, I have had no issues with corruption on the memory card. For the current price of this card, you would be hard pressed to find anything better. I haven't had any issues with the card melting, overheating, or corrupting. The only issue I could think of is that microSD cards are so small that they are easily lost. That's not a knock on SanDisk. PROS ■ Price/performance ratio is stellar; ■ Great speed for 4k video; and ■ No corruption issues (so far); CONS ■ Not a knock on SanDisk but these cards are easily lost.

Another good SanDisk product
In service now for over 2 months. Works great in my wife's Moto E (second gen) phone. Max memory for this phone is 32 GB on an SDHC card. I cannot use a SDXC (64 GB or greater) micro-SD card. Formatted the SD card upon insertion and everything just worked after that. Pic's videos and apps all work as they should. Always had real good luck with SanDisk flash memory cards. The price was right. Time to upgrade, you will not be disappointed. ******* 01/14/2017 - Update One year has passed since I put this card into service in my wife's cell phone. She takes pictures and installs apps onto this card on a regular basis. NO error messages, corrupt data or corrupt pictures. Like prior SanDisk products, they just work. ******* 05/29/2017 - Update Upgraded my wife's cell phone, so I refarmed this micro-SDHC card. I'm using it now in my Garmin Nuvi 2699LMTHD GPS unit. This card has so much capacity, I can put on almost anything, like personal POI's and extra large Junction View files. There is NO lag or shutter using the SD card based Junction View on my Nuvi. More than enough speed to satisfy my Nuvi's requirements. One thing I did that will save some grief -- reformat this card (FAT 32 format) prior to installing it in my Nuvi. This cleared any possible incompatibilities relating to file structure. It was the same as putting in a brand new card with nothing on it. I fully anticipate years of trouble free service from this card, since it is mostly Reads (not Writes, which wear cards out) on the Garmin unit.

Reliable Memory Card with Fast Performance
The SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC UHS-I card is a dependable option for expanding storage in phones, tablets, cameras, and other devices. With 64GB of space, it provides plenty of room for apps, photos, videos, and music, and it’s especially useful for recording and storing HD video. The card is easy to install and instantly recognized by most devices, making it a hassle-free upgrade. Performance is solid, with fast transfer speeds that keep apps and files running smoothly. It’s also built with durability in mind, being water, temperature, shock, and X-ray proof, so it stands up well to everyday use. While it’s not the fastest card available, it balances speed, storage, and price in a way that makes it a practical everyday choice. Pros: It offers generous storage space, works reliably across different devices, and has good speed for everyday use. Cons: It isn’t the top choice for professional 4K video recording, speeds may vary depending on the device, and some users may want more storage than 64GB. A trustworthy and affordable memory card that delivers solid performance for most needs. It’s a great fit for everyday use in mobile devices, cameras, or gaming systems.
