Yes it has 2 aluminum stays as well as a plastic u shaped frame

The bag we have in stock is marked on the UPC tag as made in the Philippines. We've seen this question a lot - I think Kelty sources their bags from different countries - that's why the "Made in US or Imported" sku information on Amazon stays fairly ambiguous.
