I don’t know In the future RIITOP USB-C Extension Cable is a little powerhouse
I needed a short extension to make connecting my headset receiver to my dock more convenient, and this cable worked perfectly. The 7.8-inch length was exactly what I needed – no excess cable clutter! The braided cord feels incredibly durable and high-quality, and the connectors are snug and secure. I was also pleased to see it's Thunderbolt 3 compatible, which gives me peace of mind knowing it can handle high-speed data transfer if needed. For anyone looking for a short, reliable USB-C extension, especially for devices like the Windows laptop or MacBook Pro (I use both), I highly recommend the RIITOP USB-C Extension Cable. It's a fantastic little product that does exactly what it promises!

Works well to connect an Analogue Pocket to the dock.
I'm using this extension cable to connect the Analogue Pocket to the Deck accessory. Let me explain why: I was really surprised at the extremely poor build quality of the Dock's USB connector and the mating interface to the Pocket. It's designed to fail, apparently not incorporating any of the lessons learned from the Switch USB dock connector that came out years prior. Worse, it seems likely the Dock's design would damage the Pocket's USB connector over time. I get the feeling they did not run any automated insertion/removal cycle tests and have no idea what the long term reliability is. I bought this extension cable so I could plug the Pocket into the Dock without straining the Dock's awful USB-C connector. This works great and makes it easy to use the Pocket in docked mode without taking any risks on the connectors. I haven't had any issues with video dropout and the connection has been stable all the time. No issues with audio either. Using this cable I can avoid wear and tear on the Dock's USB connector and keep the Pocket's USB connector safe too. I highly recommend it for that purpose or probably any other case where you want to reduce strain on a sensitive connector.

Excellent Performance
I purchased this cable for use with Android Auto to power and transfer data between my new Sony AX5600 radio and Samsung Galaxy A53 5g cell phone. The performance of this cable is nothing less than excellent for my purpose. I had purchased a multitude of different cables for the same reason and none of them worked with this combination of radio and phone. The Android Auto simply wouldn't work. I even took the radio back to the installer to have them check it out and they told me the processor in my cell phone wasn't powerful enough. I took it to a different installer and it turns out it was the cable. My suggestion is be sure you use the correct cable. This cable appears to be made of good quality material. Only time will tell how it holds up, but at the price I paid that isn't a problem. Mine was only one day delivery time.

It works. Sort of. Not reversible.
I'm going to preface my review by saying there is no USB-C standard for extension cables. This cable simply implements the USB-C cabling standard with one end being a receptacle instead of having two plugs. This is bad because the USB-C cable itself is not reversible. The device implementation is what makes it reversible. USB-C cables are not required to implement USB 2.0 on both sides nor are they required to implement the full compliment of sideband signals. A proper extension cable should wire the USB and sideband signals to both top and bottom (no additional wires necessary) to operate reversibly. This cable does not mirror those signals to both top and bottom, thus is not reversible. To understand why this is necessary you only need to understand that a cable with signals running to the top contacts meeting an extension with the signals running to the bottom contacts results in a broken connection. Due to the short length of this cable it is perfectly capable of passing USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) reliably. I used an external NVMe SSD to USB 10Gbps enclosure and had no issues or data corruption while stress testing the drive. However, it suffers the same issues with cable construct that make it unsuitable for use with Thunderbolt 3. Some TB3 devices may work, some may not work reliably (disconnections), and some may not activate at all. I tested out an eGPU using only the extension and a gender changer and could not enable the eGPU regardless of cable orientation; I tried every combination including reversing the cable ends between computer and eGPU enclosure. I plan on using this with an external SSD so this cables does what I need it to do; however, it may not be suitable for all applications. YMMV

Very Nice Quality - and it Works
After about 40 or so insertion/removals of the type C USB charger cord for my new Asus ZenBook UX425E I noticed the plastic bits internal to the tiny type C connector were starting to get distorted and under a magnifying glass some plastic was missing. After making sure it wasn't stuck in the laptop port (which is obviously of much higher quality) I ordered this short cable as an expendable extension to the $65 OEM charger. The OEM charger has the wall outlet end permanently attached (vice a USB C cable on both ends - thanks for that Asus). This cable works perfectly - note I'm using this for charging only. Quality seems very high. Fits notebook port nicely - no slop, plugs in tight. If it matters, it's a very nice looking braided cable with nice red aluminum ends. Asus should make their cables look this good. In my specific usage this cable is awesome and prevents me from having to replace an expensive charger apparently ever three months or so.

Great Mini Extension Cord
I needed this product to connect my new DJI Wireless Microphone Reciever to my S24 without taking the Otter Box phone case off every time. So far, it works perfectly and feels like a quality product! Also, I like that the cord is slightly bendable so I can use it with my filming tripod. Would highly recommend this cord to others in the same boat.

Extended My Port on My Laptop
I use this to extend the c type USB port on my laptop to make it more acceptable. I put a type a female adapter on it so I could use it for either type c or type a USB flash drives.
