The highly talented Swedes BEYOND ALL RECOGNITION finally release their brutal and innovative debut album "Drop=Dead"! Vile Metalcore riffs, demolishing grooves and vocals ranging from extreme growls and melodic parts dominate the 12 tracks on the longplayer. However, what sets BEYOND ALL RECOGNITION apart from other bands in the Metalcore genre, are their Dubstep elements woven into the fabric of each song. This creates the perfect fusion between Metalcore and Dub Step with an end result of a sound-landscape that has never been heard before. For fans of Korn, Skrillex, IWABO, The Browning.

Jaw Dropping
I watched their music video for the song "True Story" and fell in love with it. I listened to it dozens of times and watched their other music video for "Characters" and after only an afternoon I made an impulsive decision to buy the entire album...and I wasn't disappointed! So I bought this a couple of days ago and I've probably listened to it all the way through about a dozen times already. It's easily and quickly become one of my favorite jams. The songs are simple, but packed with a lot of vibe. They are heavy and full of dubstep/electronica sections (think Asking Alexandria on steroids, for lack of a better way of describing it), but the dubstep and hardcore mix seamlessly, unlike a lot of other bands where it sounds like they just threw in some keyboards for the heck of it and tried to make it mesh. This is a quick, fun listen with lots of headbanging and enough beat to move to.The songs are pretty short and there are really only 9 of them--which makes for a rather short album. That's my only quarrel with the CD, but I like all of them and it just leaves me excited for another release. The last two songs ("End of Recognition" and "Smoke and Mirrors (Dirty & Twisted Remix)", tracks 10 and 11) are a little different from the rest of the album, showing off Beyond all Recognition's creative and experimental side--specifically for the song "End of Recognition", which features long dubstep, electronica, and even ambient interludes. While vastly different from the songs that preceded it, I'm pleased with it. The last song is just a remix (I'm not a fan of remixes, so my opinion is biased, but the song is good as far as remixes are concerned).Did I cover everything? I might also mention the song "Brace Yourselves", which features clean vocals offered by Bjorn Strid of Soilwork. The other songs are a fantastic hardcore-fest of screaming and breakdowns, but the clean vocals adds a new layer to the mix, in the middle of the album, that really stands out and keeps you refreshed and ready to tackle the other half. "Smoke and Mirrors" also stands out with its guitar solo and sort of Egyptian feel to it. I could keep going on about each song, suffice it to say that I think they are all good.In short now, I really liked the album and think it's a great addition to anyone's collection looking for heavy music. Pick up a copy, I really recommend it!

Everything I'd Hoped It'd Be
A combination of two genres I adore. Really a diamond in the rough and I'm really happy that I came across this while browsing for a filler item. Recommended for Electro-Metalcore fans.

Excellent!
Holy crap this kicks a**! The only thing that could make this better is a vinyl release so I can hear ALL of it. Great for getting angry; for me that's in the weight room.

Swedish band knows how to JAM!
This album is a NONSTOP scream/jam fest... and I love it!! The instruments have a tendency to sound "dubstepish," but it mashes with the hard rock sound as if it were meant to be. Great at listening during a cruise session in the car, or if you're angry. Good album. Some songs throw the composition of the CD off, specifically 9 through 11. Could do without those tracks - still jams hard though.
