DELICIOUS, nutritious, and SAFE!!!
DELICIOUS, nutritious, and SAFE!!! It is SO hard to find healthy snacks that aren't processed, seasoned, or contaminated. These are amazing quality, deliciously crunchy, & the perfect size. LOVE that I can get them without salt, too! Definitely will be buying these often!!!

Horrible!
I'm 57 years old and I've been eating pumpkin seeds since I'm about 7 years old. The best seeds I ever had as a kid was Indian pumpkin seeds. They came in a Redbox and they were thick meaty pumpkin seeds. As an adult I could never find him again. Indian still makes the little bags but they're terrible small and skinny. Periodically I will buy my pumpkin seeds at different stores for $1 per bag. They're okay but nothing I would write home about. Honestly the best pumpkin seeds I can find these days are from ShopRite and they come in a big tub but they're $14 and I find that to be a little expensive. So I decided to try these pumpkin seeds considering a 2 lb bag for $24.00 A little steep but I thought they would be good pumpkin seeds for that price. Today is July 7th 2024 8:30 a.m. I just got done having a handful of these pumpkin seeds. And wow! The worst pumpkin seeds I've ever had in my life. I consider myself a pumpkin seed expert so if I tell you they were terrible trust me they will terrible. Hardly no salt on them. The taste of the seat itself was bland and actually had no taste. It is true that they are large but that means nothing if the taste is terrible. I just soon found out that I cannot return them and I'm guessing because it's a food product. And that's okay I'll feed them to the birds. I really leave reviews and I feel terrible even leaving a negative review because I know small businesses depend on good reviews. But I can't back up a small business if they're making a terrible product. I'll go back to buying my pumpkin seeds at ShopRite they are very tasty and enough salt to please the pallet. Don't waste your money on these seeds because you won't be able to return them.

Fresh pumpkin seeds without all the mess!
I bought a bag of these pumpkin seeds as I wanted the seeds WITH the shells on and didn't want a high sodium product. The whole seed (including the shell) are supposed to enhance your gut and provide excellent biome nourishment, so I was excited to try these. They did NOT disappoint! In fact, had I not known, (if someone had poured these into a plastic bag or container and given them to me during the Halloween season), I would swear they were done in the home, the old fashioned way by scooping out pumpkin seeds from Halloween pumpkins while carving them. That alone gave me such a good feeling, but eating them proved all the great reviews I read. They truly are the real deal!!! They're not tough, roasted, yes, but not super tough. They are not too salty and are very satisfying. It's good to know that they are a food grown in the U.S. and processed in the U.S. While some people note they are expensive, for me, that's okay. I don't buy junk food and I know nuts in general are not cheap. I am VERY happy to support a company that provides snacks make in the U.S. with U.S. products. They are totally worth it!! I am totally grateful to Gerbs for producing such an excellent product and will continue to purchase them. Have ordered my fourth bag! (Even hubby enjoys these and says they taste like the real deal!) One last thing....I love the very tiny little pieces of pumpkin that get stuck on the seeds. Makes them SO authentic and it's so reminiscent of roasting seeds when we were younger. Such a treat! <3

Good
These are good pumpkin seeds. The only thing I dont like is you still needs to soak these before roasting them and the drying process can take a day or two. That being said you get a large amount of seeds that are fresh and good quality. If you have the patience for the drying process its a good purchase.

The best I've found
I'm on my fifth 2 pound bag of the whole roasted, heavy sea salt variety. Definitely the best roasted, in-the-shell pumpkin seeds I have been able to find for purchase. I noticed that some reviewers have noted consistency problems, but I have not experienced any. If you are a pumpkin seed lover and don't want to take on the task of cleaning, soaking and roasting your own, I highly recommend giving these a try.

Healthy Snack
I'm half way through a second two pound bag of Gerb's Jumbo Raw Pumpkin Seeds In Shell in less than a month for two good reasons… their size and when roasted their taste. Last October I removed the seeds from a pumpkin and roasted them. They tasted okay but the seeds where smaller than these Jumbos. They didn't have the flavor and didn't last as long. For a dollar or two more than the Gerbs regular pumpkin seeds, the Jumbos are the way to go. By the way I don't shell the pumpkin seeds after they have been roasted. I eat them as they are. The recipe for roasting the seeds is fairly basic. 1 pint size container of seeds (about 2 cups) 3-4 cups of water 5 teaspoons of salt (more or less to taste) Bring the salted water and pumpkin seeds to a boil. Let simmer for 10 minutes. The seeds become light gray in color. Remove from heat and drain. Pat dry lightly in the pan, then coat the seeds in the pan with about a teaspoon or so of olive oil. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a heavy duty baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the seeds out over the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake until the seeds begin to brown, the first signs of browning are hearing some of the seeds begin to pop. Mix around every few minutes thereafter. Roasting time is between 20 and 25 minutes. Keep an eye on the seeds so they don't burn. A bit less time if you use other than the Jumbos. I have also coated the seed with a couple tablespoons of maple syrup while still in the pan. Taste good, but decided I like the plane roasted better.

I am addicted! Perfectly roasted and just the right amount of salt. Thanks for a great product.

Me encantan pues no contienen sal que escalda la lengua y boca. Están como recién hechas.
