Great straps but not perfect
I am a delivery technician and as a part of my job I carry a lot of medical equipment in my transit van every day. We are given ratchet straps, but dang, I have no patience to fight with the damn things every time I need to put something in or take something out of the van. Ratchet straps are good but not when you need them every minute and constantly pinch your fingers or wind up with tangled or loose straps laying everywhere and getting caught in everything and rolled up into wheels on the equipment. It is a huge headache. We aren't allowed to use bungees or cambuckle straps or anything else due to an accident one of our drivers had in which a very heavy piece of equipment secured only by a bungee strap nearly crashed through to the front of the van and could have easily killed or injured him.So I have to use ratchet straps as my employer no longer allows other types of straps . . . But not necessarily the ones supplied by the company. I bought a few of these as I sometimes haul stuff outside of work anyway and needed new straps so the timing was perfect to try something new. Well, I bought three sets of these retractable straps and they have been a huge help. No loose straps getting caught underfoot or under other equipment, getting everything in a tangle. No pinching my fingers, no struggling to untwist a strap that's truly stuck in the ratchet. It is a huge improvement. However, they aren't perfect. They can be a little awkward when it comes to unwinding them as you have to have the huge ratchet buckle wide open and pull the strap free while pressing the button to release. Too bad it doesn't have a switch or button that locks that simply unwinds the strap until you flip it back. It would be much smoother that way. Wouldn't hurt if it were a few feet longer either. 15 feet would be perfect length, but 10 is good for most things too. The strap can still twist up and give you problems sometimes and cause a little fighting to free it but it is still a lot easier to fix than with a normal ratchet strap. Doesn't hurt my hands when it happens. Just a few extra tugs and it will come out okay. I don't know how long they will last as I have seen some wear on the straps themselves in the month or two that I have had mine but not too bad. I use them every day and while most of the equipment I load is no more than a few hundred pounds to a strap, I must also mention that I am not ratcheting things down to max capacity either. Mine also don't see any rain or snow. Some reviewers mention that these can break fairly easily when pushed to their limit, but I couldn't say as I simply don't use mine hard enough to find out.The ratchet itself is huge and seems really heavy duty. The retractable feature works most of the time. The straps sometimes go in twisted and then it will stop pulling and often if I am in a rush I will just ratchet down to kill the remaining slack. But most of the time it does work quite well. The best thing to do is to try not to strap things at an angle or to feed the strap in carefully so that it isn't getting mangled. With care, I have no doubt these straps probably do last a good while.I can 100% recommend these for light duty hauling like what I use mine for every day but can't comment on how well these would hold up transporting heavy equipment like cars on a flatbed or something like that. If you aren't hauling Fort Knox in your pickup bed, this strap should be fine. Got a riding mower to transport on your utility trailer? This strap is definitely capable of that. But keep in mind the ratchet on this thing is huge. It isn't as rinky-dink as some of these other straps. I bought all mine used as the price is a little higher for a set but as long as the straps hold up a few years I would say these are good enough to just about make regular ratchet straps obsolete.

Absolutely Amazing!
These are some of the best straps I have ever used. The are very easy to spot and look great, and function exactly as expected from the listing. The self retracting hold is amazing for tying down things solo as the removal of slack in the line makes it super easy to adjust where the strap is without the hook falling off. They are also incredibly easy to use and work very intuitively. The ratcheting mechanism seems the same to me as any other strap and holds just as tightly and is very secure. The only thing about these is that they are rather short when compared to a traditional strap, but the listing says their length so just make sure the one you get is enough for what you are using it for. Overall a great product and it has saved me an immeasurable amount of time and effort.

Convient and Quick!
These ratchet straps are very easy to use and convenient. All you need is to pull the length you need and start ratcheting to secure, hit the release mechanism and it retracts makes it extremely quick and time saving. Easy to store, built great and very secure. Definitely worth the purchase!

Product works as descibed
Exactly as described. Used two together to pull back a stubborn tree that was being weighted crooked from weight of persimmons. Easy to use. Get some side cutters ready to cut packaging wire in package before receiving. I am a tool guy and of course have quite a few sidecuttets. If you don't. I'd get a cheap set from harbored freight while waiting for delivery.

These are awesome
Wow do I wish I had these when I was in the Military. They are way too easy to use at such a great price. You don't have to take the time and it saves you trouble and humiliation when you don't put the strap in the ratchet. If you are a pro at that, well great for you, but I am not and it would seem that I would always get the straps that weren't put together. Make sure you get the strength you need as they are built great but if you aren't getting the right size, they could frustrate you. If you strap stuff down, get these, you won't regret it.

JUNK! Customer service isn’t there when you need them.
UPDATED TO 1 star, as customer service still hasn’t reached out and only 2 out of 8 straps work and they’re not even 2 months old!I don’t know what’s going on with these straps lately the last 2 packages I’ve purchased. (The green ones)I’ve been buying since Oct 2024 and they’re usually good but the last 2 packs I’ve purchased had a bad one right out of the pack and within 2 weeks all 4 didn’t work. I Purchased another round and one was bad right out of the package. Tried to contact customer service because I know my other 3 packages of these straps weren’t like this, they lasted every bit of 6 months. But customer service doesn’t answer the phone, and when you leave a message they don’t call back.We own a golf cart business where we haul carts daily and the straps just aren’t reliable for us to use anymore, which is very unfortunate since they were so easy to use.
