This a perfect jacket. Like everything about it. I plan on buying a few more pants, shirts, and a vest. I agree it would be nice to have snaps in the front of the jacket. But the Velcro works too. It should come with the hood already. So you get an FR hood too. Very warm, blocks all the wind. Took me a while to find my size and I had to send a few items back. They were great for the returns. Size, run a little big. If you prefer fitted, buy one size smaller. So if you buy a med shirt in Carhartt go for the large jacket. They run about one size bigger than normal, so go for the smaller size. Great product worth every penny.

Stiff, as expected in FR clothing. Almost too well insulated. Not for wear in moderate temps.

I’ve had Carhartt outerwear before and i am not disappointed. Like the hidden cuffs and no hood. Material is stiff at first, but breaks in pretty quickly. Deep pockets keep keys and phone from falling out even while seated. Inner Velcro pockets great for wallet too. Never feel wind through the coat yet it’s warm but not a coat that needs to come off immediately if you are inside a store. Only warning the coat itself is heavy in its physical weight, doesn’t bother me, but something some purchasers might not like. Very happy overall.

Jacket is made of nice material does run a little big like most carhartt clothing.

I cannot recommend this coat highly enough. I work onshore and offshore and always have this coat with me, when the weather is cooler. The coat is very warm.
