BUG-A-SALT 3.0 Black Fly Edition

As an owner of a few electric fly zappers that has been my fly killing device. Been looking at these but always thought they just seemed too expensive. Finally broke down and bought one and it's awesome. Just had it a few days so can't attest to how long it works, but it's been fun. 1st off not for a kid toy. Takes some strength just to cock it. If shooting close it destroys the flies. But it also works from a distance to disable. I shot one today from about 6 feet and it disabled the fly. I quickly reloaded and moved closer to complete the job.One thing I learned is do not over fill with salt. The clear plastic thing will not properly snap shut and you will spill salt. If you accidentally over to, just dump out some salt.Also was surprised at actually how little salt shoots out. It's a good thing, so there are not large piles of salt where you shoot.Would make a great gift for someone that is hard to buy for if they have flies.I have also used on carpenter bees that are so around my house. Even from a distance it scares then of if not killing them.Good to learn how to quickly cock the gun. Slow on loading and fly escapes.

This thing is so much fun it's unreal. It's pretty stiff and hard to use out of the box, but breaks in pretty fast. The included targets make great practice for learning how to use the sights and point shoot accurately. It annihilates houseflies like they're snow against a hard wind, but horseflies are tougher hunting, requiring several shots to down. The price could be a little lower, but I can't argue that it's hard to have a better time for fifty bucks. The black and grey color makes it feel more like a hunting shotgun when I'm out on safari. Highly recommended!

Best product ever, everyone needs one. On the first day, no lie, I killed over 50 of those damn flies on a bbq. Trust me, they got no time to react, dead on the spot. Best invention ever!!!! Seems like the voice got run around the neighborgood, haven't seen a fly in my house for weeks lol.

I’ve never had so much fun killing bugs. There’s a cow pasture behind my home and sometimes if the wind blows right we are inundated with flies. This gun helped me down at least 100 in the first hour out of the box. Would recommend

It allerts to being ineffective against insects that have some sort of shell, like bumble bees, cockroaches, etc. I was desperate to reduce some form of small flying insects that accumulated around the sink drain and anything that they took as food. They disappeared when the salt shooter arrived as did the occasional cock roach we see from time to time. Then one dared. Late at night. Just sat there almost like a dare. I went into the other room, retrieved it, loaded it, cocked it and moved the muzzle to within a few inches and blew that suckers head off. An expensive hunt so far, but rewarding none the less. For slow fat ones, it’s the bomb!

It works really well and does what it needs to do... way more exciting with the red dot sight.

This is the best device I’ve ever owned for dealing with flies in my house. Way better than a fly swatter. And it’s fun to use. Feels sturdy too.
