I ordered this shredder befor i saw reviews. I was skeptical but optimistic. I ordered this after breaking a couple of plastic rotary shredders very quickily. It seems sturdy, it suctioned to my counter securely, the shredding cones are thicker than what i had previously and the handle screws on the end of cone so it will not fall off. I shredded a small block of pepper jack in less that a minute, cleaned easily overall very happy with my purchase. I bought it to shred cheese and that is what recomendation is for. If i was going to chop/shred vegetables i would probably use my food processor for that.

I thought it would process vegetables but it isn't large or sturdy enough and the blades chew through rather than cut cleanly. I would have returned it, but somehow the package got thrown away before I realized the product was substandard. also, there are crevasses in the feed cup that collect food debris and are hard to clean.

I love my grater. This review asked about Suction. Um.. it's a cheese grater. There is no suction. But that aside. This grater saves my arm. LoL

This came with 5 blades and I didn’t receive one of them the mistakenly put 2 of the same blades in the box

I like this grater a lot. It has all METAL parts which means it will hold up longer than the plastic style drums. And there are FIVE of them which means you have a large variety of cuttings available. And finally, it has the suction cup base which means it will not move while you are using it. Since I bought this for my wife to use, she would need to address how easy or difficult it is to clean up, but it appears to me to require little attention in this regard...enough said.

I have only used it once and it survived shredding about 2 pounds of mozzarella. The whole frame is like a thin piece of metal stamped into shape. If it was any thinner gauge of metal it would collapse. It was twisting around as I used it and I thought it was going to buckle half any second but it didn't. I got all five blades but even the largest hole grater yields really thin shredded cheese and takes a long time. I will say the full metal handle and threads into the blade and is all nice solid metal. Nice stainless blades although I wish there was one more larger hole blade for decent sized cheese shreds. For veggies this could be decent. The cheese was a pretty tough test. It was not that hard to clean but did need some manual cleaning. I also put the whole thing and blades in the dish washer with dry cycle and had no problems or rust. Suction worked perfectly. If something goes bad I will add this review.

We started with a plastic model the had no suction & broke on its 4th slab of parmesao romano.This is perfect. It grabs our table, forms a stable platform to shred & grind the cheesesOur pastas & pizzas are so much the better

This cheese grater is poorly made and the material seems to be subpar. After pre-washing the grater, some of the grated cheese turned grey. The construction is very wobbly and I was afraid the base would snap off as I used grater.
